Well, i have not been able to sleep much with this hot weather, so of a morning i am feeling pretty tired, but i manage to wake up and get on with my day without any problems, this morning i felt more tired that i usually do so i tried to sleep just a little longer, as i was slumbering back into a nice sleep, my cell rang, my eyes were still a little foggy so i answered,
"hello"
then this voice came across,
"Hello i am ****** from ****** ****** how are you today"
i says,
"who is this"
the voice continues,
"We have great news for you Ms R****** and we have selected your name as the winner of a flat screen Television 52" do you have home insurance",
so i says, "i have not entered any competitions, what do you want"
he continues to ask me all kinds of questions about home insurance, so i hung up and got back into bed, again i am sinking into a nice sleep when i my phone rings, i was actually expecting a call from my doctor some time today because i am due for a CT scan and he was going to call me about a date...
"Hello"
"Hello Ms R****** this is ****** from ****** ****** how are you today, i am calling you to give you the great news that you have been selected as the winner in our competition and have won a 52" flat screen TV, do you have home insurance"
raised voice
"NO i do not have home insurance, you just called me and told me this I DO NOT DO COMPETITIONS ON OR OFF LINE NOW GO AWAY"
the voice says
"please Ms R****** we have a fantastic offer for you on home insurance AND not only that IF you get home insurance you also get a brand new ****** mobile phone with 10000000000 minutes and blah blah blah stuff on it"
by this time his voice was fading and i found myself drifting to another plane
Ms R******* are you here, would you like us to send you a rep to your house and we can sign you up for house insurance it only cost ££££ per month, you get all singing all dancing cover for 10000000000000000000000000000 years so if any of your good get stolen or broken you will be covered"
"CLICK"... me hanging up,
now i wouldn't mind if this was 10am or around that time, but it wasn't, it was 6.30am, he wanted my bank details, date of birth EVERYTHING...anyways i drifted off again, and my phone rings one more time, this time i caught the number on my phone, wrote it down, asked this guy his name and what company he worked for, told him that any sales company who have called me before always start with an 08 number and his number was a normal mobile 07, so i told him i have got his name, and i am handing his number over to the police, guess what....he hung up...
by the time i finished talking to him i was awake, so i got up and called his number and the same voice came over, so i said
"Good morning Mr ********* this is Ms R******* from ****** ******** how are you today? i have great news for you, we have selected your name as the winner in our competition oh and by the way, you have just won a brand new 52" flat screen TV PLUS a brand new ********* mobile phone and a holiday for 20 in the Bahamas all inclusive, plus a million ££££ to spend, can i have your DOB and bank details please so i can deposit your mega win into your bank"
guess what? he hung up...LMAO.. ..gotcha you little scammer, so guys if any of you have calls like this, check the number first, i am not sure what international cell phone numbers start with where you are, but this was definitely an 07 number which is UK mobile, NOT a business caller with an 08 number, you can get rid of them by calling them back and doing exactly what i did, oh what fun, ok i have to pay for that call but it was fun doing this and worth it just to get rid of him, and if it happens again, i will do the same. now i am awake, i can go and enjoy breakfast

When I get them, I already feel like hanging up the phone, but people have no idea how annoying it can be and how much time it takes out of your day, and sometimes, because I have caller ID, I just ignore the calls altogether.

i usually just hang up, but i knew this guy wasn't an office worker or a sales person, his call came from a normal personal mobile, but i am going to have a block put on this number because i still have it logged in my phone, so i am going to have it banned

Oh I just hate those calls. I was getting one on Saturday mornings when you would answer the phone, there would be a big boat horn blast in your ear and they would say that you had won a cruise. Not exactly the way you want to start out the morning..lol.

i don't answer the phone. i leave it on the answering machine. those i want to hear from leave me a message. this is one way to avoid those calls or ask to be put on the do not call list. it takes 30 -60 days to take affect.......

I would have probably blown a gasket and started screaming. I can be nice and usually am on the phone, but if they call me that early and I wake up to answer, I am awake for a few hours at the very least. I'd probably have told them to F Off and leave me alone just the same as you. You could have also gone into another language they didn't understand that'd get them to go away.

i have done that before and they STILL called back but yesterday i think this was some random moron trying it on, so i played him at his own game, i should have kept on calling him till he got fed up, but i wasn't going to waste my time on such people, i did it once and he never called back

Most of the Sales calls to my home is quite a pain in my a*s, these sales people just go on and on doing their sales pitch over the phone whenever i picked up my phone. Usually i will ask them to repeat what they had just said several time by claiming i can't understand very well what they are talking about until they are so frustrated and hang off abruptly leaving me laughing on my side. OR i just told them to speak louder every time they finished the sales pitch by claiming i am a hundred years old man who suffer from hearing impaired, they need to speak louder after each sentence. They just have to shout through the phone if they want to sell me somethings over the phone line, i have bad hearing while i continue to have my ear plug inside my ears. hehehehe.....

I do online surveys and sometimes people call and ask me if I want to invest in a business, I don't and sometimes they say I won something but then they said I don't qualify because I don't have a credit card. IT'S ALL ANNOYING SCAMS! Hang up and don't even give the time of day!

Actually, I have heard of a lot of people doing something like this, and it might actually be a Good way to Stop some of the annoying calls. And since there are hrs that Telemarketers are only allowed to call during, I would have figured out a way to see if it was from a company, and really called and made a complaint against them as well.

I get annoying sales calls, every once in awhile, and lately, I have just been rejecting them, as I am not interested in hearing anything they have to say. There was one company that would call me more than once a day, and I kept rejecting them, and finally, they got the hint, and quit calling. I find that rejecting, the calls is the best way to get rid of them. I just don't want to bother with annoying calls whatsoever. Take care, and happy mylotting.
