What is happening with the humanity?

We think that we are the superior species, but we really are not. In fact, we are the most destructive species on the planet. We can destroy people at a whim. Pay attention to history, we could have wiped out our own species with bombs, nuclear bombs within a matter of hours, weeks or days. During WWII, we were all bombing each other left and right, and our species was lucky that things ended when they did. Also, if several countries were to go to war today, we could kill each other within a matter of hours because there are still so many countries that have bombs. No, we are not greatest species in the world, and we do need to keep ourselves in check.

This is a very good point. Our auto-destruction is getting noticed by more and more people every day, the fact that we don't do anything about it, makes us try and not think about it, because we struggle with our daily problems. The fact that almost every one of us is a little embarrassed every time this subject is brought on the table, makes me wonder about how does a politician or a factory owner thinks about this, when they could really make a big change, in human perception.

some say that it has something to do with the way the planets are aligning, i don't know. there are so many pressures on us no a days. we live such a fast paste, chemically processed life. the foods we eat are no right, or brain waves or constantly being bombarded by bad signals from the media, cell phones....oh don't let me start on cell phones. there is no way to get a break from anyone more. just go go go. we are spinning out of control and the only way to do anything then can be done about it is for us to spin ourselves and spin, until we just have to collapse, replenish, and start all over again. unless, we slow are role, we will spin out of control. that is why people are so violent and enraged. we are all spinning out of control, or are we already out of control?

We are, and have been throughout recorded history at the very least, an abominable species, and I see no possibility that we will ever change. I used to believe that there were enough good people in the world, possibly even a fair majority of good people in the world, but the evil ones have five times the impact and end up outnumbering us in effect. But as they say, all evil needs is for good people to do nothing, and frankly, most of us do nothing, so evil thrives and always will. Lash

Hi Pandora! Hmm.. where we are heading??? To the Bower of Eternal Stench! Anyway, we wont let that happen, wont we? I think the best way to get over this is try to be good example to the coming generation.

Its been a slow tread downhill that has been happening for many generations. It doesn't help that it's from the very top of the power chain and slides all the way down to the bottom. Some people are extremely frustrated about their place in life and I hate to say that some people do not take frustration very well at all. So they resort to violence. I'm not quite sure exactly where we are headed, but I long since feared that it is no place good. The fact that I'm almost sure that we have peaked as a species and it is all downhill from here. I doubt very much that few will be surprised when the violent acts keep escalating to the point where we just wipe ourselves all out of existence in one fluid motion.

I so agree with you and I feel we are heading no where but to hell. The many crimes against people and children are on the rise and its quite scary. How many couples will think nothing of killing their spouses instead of getting divorced. How many will kill their children so the other spouse can't have them. I continue to pray each and everyday for peace on earth and will continue I guess till the day I die before I see approvement in humanity.
