This morning I received a chain text from one of my friend saying that I have to passed this to 16 friends including her. It is about our Church here and the Saints who represent the church and if I will pass the text to other I will grant a good news, but if not, problems may come with me.
Do you believe in these text message?
Do you always received these kinds of text or even emails?

I receive quite a few chain letters in my email and sometimes I also receive them as text messages on my phone. I don't believe in them, and I never forward them, I just delete them without reading all the details. The chain letters that I have seen are all built the same way. They promise us that something wonderful is going to happen if we send the letters to our friends, but if we break the chain something horrible is going to happen. Fortuneately I am not very superstitious, so I don't feel that I need to forward them to avoid back luck.
I also received chain letters when I was a teenager, and that time that they were always about love. ("If you send this letter to your friends the boy that you are in love will contact you. If you break the chain you will never find love") I broke the chain, but I am married today and I have found the love of my life

I remember back when I was like 13, I would totally follow the chain letters and forward them but now omg, I got annoyed. I don't know anyone who sends those anymore and I don't believe them either.

I get them ALL the time. Not in text messages or emails though. Maybe it's because I don't have many friends that send me one :( LOL. Anyway, I always see them on Facebook comments and sometimes wall posts. I just ignore them though, but I remember sending them for fun as a child when I was ignorant to how much people get annoyed by them. I never believe them either. Those chain messages are so annoying and I just wish people who sent them would get a warning or something.

I used to receive this type of nonsense on a regular basis, but it is a while since I last received one.
I always simply delete them, and have never passed one on at any time. A few people that I know used to send these to me regularly, so obviously they were a little hesitant about ignoring them. To the best of my knowledge they have not had any significantly better good fortune than I have, so they do not seem to have worked too well for them.

I also seen lots of chain test and some of the chain test and chain messages are fake while some others are not. I think it depends from person to person and the message to message. I always see what the content of the mail before forwarding it.

From time to times, I do get a share if this kind of text and message. But I never give them my attention. I know that some network companies re paying people to make this kind of messages and naturally when you forward them it is a gain for the network company. Just imagine one person receive the text and sends it to just 10 people, in our case that is 10 pesos already and this will create a chain reaction to the other ten that receives the messages right. Just do the math and you will find that there is indeed money on this one. A perfect way to gain...

I had not thought of this, but you are right and just 6 generations would generate one million messages. I always received them via email, so I do not see a benefit from spreading that type of material. Nevertheless, just because I can not see the benefit does not necessarily mean that an ulterior motive does not exist.

There are times that I do receive text messages like this. But I never bother to red them and I also do not forward them. I do not believe in them. From what I understand, these are actually messages that are created by our network providers and naturally when we text or send them, they will be benefited.

i frequently receive chain text message and other sorts of this and that. usually, i read them and delete them afterwards. sometimes, they bear a phrase "if you do not pass before deleting this, something bad will happen to you or your family and loved ones". i hate to see people believe. my point is, when it's a Heavenly message, how will The One Above allow bad things to happen to us if you fail to do what the message tells, or if you do not have load to your account, you cannot pass the message?

There are messages that are inspiring like those religious texts but it became disappointing when you see the threat like you having a bad luck if you failed to forward it which I think came from the devil himself. When I receive that kind of message it go straight to the bin. So far I have not received those kind of text lately but more on spam messages from people offering loans and health cards and of course those that come from the network informing subscribers about promos and free ring tones etc.

I think these chain texts and e-mails can be quite troublesome to some people and some of them cause a recipient to fear being cursed or something very nasty if they don't send it to 10 of their friends. I am not impressed with them at all, and if one comes to my phone or to my e-mail, then I will delete it immediately and break the chain there and then. I feel I am saving my friends and acquaintences from unnecessary worry and anxiety by doing this. I can't see any good of them continuing to go around the airwaves. I do not know anybody who has had any good fortune by sending them on, and equally I don't know anybody who has had bad fortune by not sending them on. _Derek

Lyn, nowadays i don't put any believe into any chain letter or text that i had received. I always ignored them. When i was still a child, i always followed and send those chain letters according to the required numbers. i had wasted quite a lot of money due to following those chain letters and texts. I didn't feel anything special happened to me, when i send those chain letters and texts. So, i fed-up and started to break every chain letters and texts that i received. At least, i don't fall prey and waste my money into them anymore.

honestly speaking i am not giving any attention to those matter. hence as for me, i will just waste a part of my time in sending a text or emails of that type. aside from that, i will just also waste a bit of my mobile load if i am going to send it to another batch of people.

Yes, I gave attention to them, Every time I received this kind of message I usually forward it to my friend, but lately I get rid tired of them. I do believe my faith is much better than those chain messages.
God won't do anything that can hurts us.

Well I don't believe on those kind of messages. I guess those messages are just made by people who are bored and have nothing else to do in their life so they just wanted to make other people fall for those messages. :)
