Well,do you remember when someone's smile brought yot a sense of relief or made you feel relaxed? Or when the absence of a smile made you feel nervous or even rejected? Yes,a smile make a difference. It affects both the one who is smiling the one smiled at. A warm smile may help relieve built up tensions. It may prove to be like a safety valve on a pressure cooker. When we feel tense or frustrated,a smile can help us to alleviate that tension and cope with our frustration.
I often observe others looking at me. I assumed that they were critical of me,as they quickly averted their eyes when they saw that i noticed them. I felt lonely and unhappy. One day a friend of mind suggested that i smile at people when i caught their eye. I tried it for 2 weeks and was amazed that every one smiled back at me. Tensions were gone!

Yes, when I have a bad day and when somebody smiles at me,
I feel instantly good and much better. I think smile is
infectious and it's a good way to share happiness and
positivity to other people.

Smiling definitely makes a difference. I love when people are friendly like that. It shows that they are more open and friendly and honestly can put everyone else in the room in a better mood! That's what I have found to be true anyway. . I make a conscious effort to smile & laugh all the time.. Just because it brightens my mood & Hopefully the mood of others around me too. No one wants to be around a Negative Nancy or a Debbie Downer!

A smile can tell many different tales, but it does depend upon the context behind the smile. At times, a smile does add a reassuring ability, just a rather trustful nature, it really lightens the mood and heightens our ability to be put completely and utterly at ease. It also gives us some hope, and some rather inspiration, with a smile just really boosting our spirits.
Of course, for some times, a smile can do the exact opposite. It can lead to a sense of mortal dread for some people. As in "why is this person smiling at me, they are totally creeping me out, what are they up to." And let's face it, there is such a thing as smiling maliciously. It depends on the person and depends on the context. For some it puts them at ease and for some, a smile makes them suspicious.

whenever i see some people smile especially those people i pass by in the farm or street vendors, i smile too. like the feeling is so lite that even though they work so hard, they still manage to smile. i get so touched when i see that. and also i always get so happy whenever i can make people i love smile. it feels rewarding.
but also there are times that i smile at people i know back in high school and they seem fake. i don't know what has gotten to them, but i hate it when i can be nice to other people but they can't at me.

Smiling makes a huge difference. When you smile at someone they feel comfortable with you and your warmth towards them is shared. Smiling makes you feel better too. You can be having a really lousy day when everything seems to go wrong, if you just try and smile and laugh some, it can really make things better. Smiling starts to ease tension and frustration and help you to gain a more positive outlook on your day. Also, others see you smile and want to be around you. Smiling causes you to give off a positive impression. So, yes, smiling does make a difference, a big difference.

A smile is a positive reflection of your personality, being amicable, empathetic, open-minded, etc. It invites someone to do the same, and if one does not, then there is an issue, lol! Smile and the world smiles back, frown and the world would stood still.

Yes, I'm perfectly okay with you. In my opinion, however, sometimes more than a simple smile, maybe a person might also need some words of comfort. Expose this thing to mention my case. Sometimes I have personal problems, caused by my illness (which I've already talked enough about it. See my old threads.). When I meet someone I know, to expose my problem, sometimes it takes 5 minutes of few words. And I can say: Oh, I feel better already!

Smiles like a mirror show what we do in others. Anyone that smile will get good respond from others people who feel something happy. They would be happy mood and comfortable in meeting someone.
In my opinion it is a kind of good attitude should most of people should do.

smilling can make a big difference.i worked in a hotel as bartender last summer and i saw the effect.there were customers that seemed to be so stressed and unhappy and if i was talking with them, like saying something nice, smilling ,there was a instant change in them.i could see that on their faces.
if people would smile more and be more nice to each others the society would work better and the people would me more happy and the depression level would go down.
but i got to the conclusion that some people prefer to be ironic,to spread bad words around and they don't realise that they don't hurt only the ones around them. They actually hurt themselves.

I really agree with that. Smile can really make a difference. It can uplift a lonely heart and can calm an angry person. I'm a nurse working on a hospital. Whenever, I visits my patient, I give them my warmth smile and I feel glad to see how it helps brightens their day.I can see on their face that they are so glad that I'm there to help them in their recovery. When I'm lonely and someone smiles on me, it helps bring positive energy on me. So keep smiling everyday!
