just early this morning, i went to the airport because my girlfriend is leaving for a vacation..as i waited her to check-in, i was observing the lady guards on the entrance as they inspect the identification cards and itinerary tickets of the passengers(lots of passengers fell in line because it's a busy season here in the philippines because of holy week.)..
but i was so disappointed to actually witnessed what a lady guard just did..she said to her partner--"just them (she referred to the foreigners) in. they're not like the filipinos who lie just to get in the departure area"..and so, her partner didn't inspect the id and ticket of the foreigners..
another disappointing incident i witnessed was the same lady guard let a foreigner in without the itinerary ticket..but didn't let 3 filipinos, who forgot to print their itinerary, to get in..with the fact that they can check their names on the check-in counter..and no one can get into a plane without the boarding pass..
it's so disappointing..everybody is capable to lie..and many filipinos do that..but foreigners aren't exempted..and it's not a valid reason for them to break the STANDARD OPERATING PROCEDURE, especially in the airport..

We all expect this kind of scenario. I also hate this one but this is the reality and we can't stop it karole . :(

I think that should have been reported. I mean, no one should be exempt from the SOP even if it's very busy time or even if they're visitors to the country. I think this is the main reason why we don't usually go for trips during these times (Holy Week) the stress isn't worth it.
I try to steer clear of travelling during these peak seasons. I usually just save and stay at home and just enjoy the silence without the unnecessary hustle and bustle.
As for the printed itinerary thing, I truly think it's something that's stupid, I mean, we go online and book our travel itinerary so that it would be paper-less so that we could help the environment, YET, we have to print them to show something in the airport. They don't do that anymore in other countries, it's only here in the Philippines.
Have a great MyLot experience ahead!

i also don't like to go with the stressful thing travelling during this peak season..i'd rather have peace in my holy week..
and about the itinerary, you're right..whoever is in-charge of putting that policy must change it..everybody still needs to check-in with or without the itinerary ticket..
