This is an important subject, that I want to share with you all. The fact that sleeping is part of one's schedule, makes me wonder: What is the best way to sleep? And on one hand, we have the married/boyfriend stereotype. He sleeps with his woman, because that is the tradition (cuddle, love, never lonely). This type of men, doesn't always get a good night sleep, because the subconscious of his girlfriend will take almost all the space in the bed, considering that he is the head of the family. So basically, a good night sleep for the men, is not a woman's priority. On the other hand, sleeping alone, let's you wake up at 12 o'clock on Sunday, rested and fresh. Some guys are really bothered by this issue and until they are sure about the status of the relationship they focus on keeping their home bed clear. What is your opinion on this subject?

Basing on the discussion you've stated, it's clear that you haven't really shared your bed with someone you really love (perhaps a wife). This isn't particularly true when you're really with someone you care for. Instead, it's actually the opposite, once your partner isn't with you during sleep time (perhaps it's because of a business trip or something like that), you wouldn't be able to sleep well. You will look for the warmth of your partner and would wish that you have her with you. Same goes for the woman.
Have a great MyLot experience ahead!

Yeah, I don't think I expressed my exact feeling on this particular topic, maybe because English is not my first language. I truly love my girl and we've been sharing the same bad for over 3 years. I was trying to be more objective on this matter, because the feeling you have when you share the bed with someone is pretty addictive. It goes a lot with the type of person you are. Because if you are an active type of person, it's unlikely that you can really rest with someone next to you. Thank for making this a discussion and not a monologue.

Daxta88, active people can't rest with someone next to them? What?? Where did you get that insane idea? I know many active couples that can't really sleep without their partner beside them. Saying that the feeling of your girl beside you is addictive, is just odd in it self and I wouldn't describe the feeling of my husband next to me as addictive, it is safe, comforting, warm.

Perhaps he is wrestling on his bed when he sleeps and the girlfriend always gets hit because of his 'active' lifestyle hehehe..
I know, it's really absurd, perhaps daxta needs to turn on the airconditioning system so that he and his girlfriend could sleep well cuddled up because it's too cold to sleep alone. :)

You sound extreemly sexist, and have no real idea about having a partner, especially sharing a bed with one. There are many married people that cannot sleep well at all when their partner is away, for whatever reason, be it the company or even the snoring, widows and widowers clams that not having the sound of their parter sleeping is the hardest part to get used to. Guys that want to keep their home bed clear as you put it, usually want that so they don't have the girl encroaching on his territory which is based on commitment issues and not getting a good nights rest. I suggest you get your head out of your butt and see women as equals, You will live a lonely life if you don't.

I was polite! just blunt! The only thing I take issue with is how sexist you sounded. I have problems telling the truth? I think was pretty strait forward, you just didnt like what I had to say, sorry if I offended you, you asked for opinions and that's what you got MY opinion. I still think you are sexist (when it comes to women, I love the way you can make from any discussion a big argument) that is sexist, and offensive.
If your happy in your relationship, and she is happy good for you both!!

Calm down and stop offending people. You clearly have some issues, but of course some problems with telling the truth. That is the reason why I love Mylot. I can just say my opinion and people will respond in an manner that will just help create a discussion. I cannot say that you are wrong or anything and when it comes to women in general, I love the way that you can make from any discussion a big argument. My head is where it's supposed to be, so calm down and be polite.

I don't understand what the woman's subconscious has to do with the man's sleep. If you want to be so gender specific, note that normally men are able to have deeper sleep than women.
MAny couples that love each other can have the best sleep when they sleep together, and can't sleep well alone because they miss the warmth of their love.
Sleeping with your partner is not necessarily the tradition.
My grandparents were farmers, and like in many other farmer families, they didn't sleep together. Women and kids slept in the house, men slept in the barn.

a very pertinent and important question in fact. Usually this question is ignored. It is best to sleep alone on a single bed so that you can occupy the space you require for a good sleep. I do not advise to ignore your wife but while sleeping you should sleep on individual beds rather than on the same bed.

Sleeping is truly one of the needful activities that will never be scratched in our routine. Whatever way or style you want to sleep whether you are sleeping while standing, sleeping while seated, sleeping while lying down, or sleeping while in front of the computer, it matters not as long as you can get some sleep. If you have someone in your bed, there's not much of a problem as long as your goal is to get some sleep. Sleeping alone is much more better because there will be no disturbance. Have a great and wonderful day ahead. Don't forget your sleep tonight.
