Have You Ever Auditioned For A Realty Show?,

They have had a lot of reality shows come to my city for tryouts & I personally never tried out for one but went with some one as support once & there was a lady that had traveled from another state to try out again for this one since she wasn't chosen as an contestant at the tryouts her state.
I can't image traveling to a different state for a tv show when you already tried out in your own state. To me the prize doesn't outweigh the bs of the show that could totally destroy your reputation & sanity for a prize.
Have you ever tried out for an reality show? Do you know anyone that has? Would you be willing to lose your reputation for a.chance at money? I know that one of the bachelor guys lives in my town but that's it.

My ex and I almost make it to Amazing race asia but both of us were cut in favor of some model and actor dating. You may not believe it but established reality show contest now favors people who doesnt want the show over obsessed fans of the show. I have a friend who use to be in a reality show and she hates how she is negatively portrayed on TV, everythign that happens were real but editing is able to manipulate editing. some people get fodder edits and became non existent while others get villain edits even if they were not bad people. Its all in the editing

That is sad happening. Good thing it wasn't Marc and Rovilson who stole your placement. Hope that model and actor gets karma.
Philippines is having its version of Amazing Race soon and the auditions are currently running. My brother and I want to join but I am still 19 and the auditions require 21 and above. I hope our version does not get nasty edits...but I think it likely will (I hate Philippines' entertainment industry because of that and other reasons).

I will never join and reality show of ABSCBN and GMA, those are glorified artista search not reality show. Look, Big brother contestants from the US goes back to their normal life after being evicted, In our country they turn into mediawhoring actors and actresses.

Amazing Race Philippines is hosted by TV5.
Anyway, I definitely agree with what you have said about ABS-CBN and GMA. Good thing not all of them completely turn into actors and actresses.
Thumbs down with the recent Pinoy Big Brother Season!!!

Philippines is getting famous for having a version of every reality show abroad. With that happening, I always tell my family and relatives not to join such.
The Big Brother version of our country just ended and it sucked the most when there were about six to eight people left, one who is already evicted but became Big Brother's accomplice the moment he was evicted. The housemates undergone challenges of ex-housemates of previous seasons (we have about 9 seasons already) as well as the current. The housemates were saying that the ex-housemates were JEALOUS of them cause they're still inside the Big Brother House while the ex-housemates are not.
However, with the Philippine verson of Amazing Race coming, I am having second thoughts about reality shows. This show is too amazing (get it?) to be categorized together with the other shows. I am not yet qualified (age limit) with the coming season and I am praying that the first season would be good so that they would make another season and then I can join.

That's......HORRIBLE!! Hopefully it would not happen here since BB already have a bad rep here and it's going worse with the current housemate/s. (this is the fourth teen edition) I understand that you would not tune in to the current USA season as it would likely be horrible.

Personally trying out for a Reality Show has never been my thing. I did go watch some of the people who were trying out the time American Idol had their auditions here in Seattle just to see if I would see anyone, but was way too old to consider trying out. Have heard they have had other auditions here, but too scared to ever consider trying out.
And yes, people will do just about anything to get their talents known. I have heard of people being rejected from Idol who go on other shows like The Voice, and actually do much better there. So I guess maybe it is just what a person really thinks they can do, and what determination and money they might have to spend to get there.

i would never join a reality show. that is just to much in to my life. also, i do not want to become famous. i think most of the people on those reality shows want to be actors that's why they don't care.

yeah they just want to be famous and if they act a fool or like a jerk they are noticed more and maybe get something out of it but seems like a lot of them dont do anything else so its still a rare thing unless they do american idol or something

I have never tried out myself. I have heard of them coming to my town not for reality shows but like for sit ins for movies and stuff like that.
When I lived in North Carolina I did know someone who had one of thoes positions in a move I THINK sins of our father, not 100 percent sure BUT anyways he owned a hum-v and drove it for some part in the movie.. Other then that it really seems like it would be a fun opportunity but I have never done it myself...

I have not and probably would not. Like you said, something like that can tarnish your reputation. And with how trashy MOST reality shows are, no thank you. I wouldnt' think it would be worth it either. My cousin tried out for American Idol I think, when they came to our state, but got rejected. She never travelled to try out again though (although I don't know why you would think you have better chances in another state, anyway).

Never auditioned for a reality show. I don't feel the need to do that, because I am already living my own reality, in that I am living my life. I don't believe that what is on those shows is "reality." Theonly way to show reality is to follow people around with hidden cameras. For me the idea of auditioning for REALITY is ridiculous. If you dn't get on the show, is your life fiction? LOL

what i find interesting is that you know people will eventually get sick of reality since its taking over and then what will happen? will everyone want fiction again because the reality of other peoples lives bore them as much as their own? lol

I would try out for The Amazing Race, as enjoy travel. I'm certain my husband has no interest in being on the show, so its unlikely to ever happen. Most reality shows I wouldn't even consider being on them.

I have never auditioned for a reality show and I don't plan on doing it. I don't like the idea of being part of that kind of show. I watch some of them, for instanse Survivor and X-factor, but I have never considered auditioning. My friend auditioned for Big Brother. When she told me that she wanted to audition I thought that she was joking, but she was serious. She asked me if I was going to support her if she became a part of the show, and I promised to do that, but she didn't make it, and she never auditioned again.

i think big brother would be the funnest show but i think it would be the worst as far as stress and screwing with your mind with all the back stabbing and manipulation etc which is why i wouldnt do it. i have enough bs irl to deal with lol

my boyfriend and i have been thinking about joining The Amazing Race because we think we are a great team hehehe
when we travel, i always rely on him and i feel secured because of him being street smart and he takes very good care of me.
i think that kind of reality show is good because it is an adventure. unlike those shows like The Bachelor or The Bachelorette and stuffs like that, they are so embarrassing and they make you look desperate for one person to get the money.
