Ahhh, Khuay has been at it again. This needs a bit of a set up before the story. I have been collecting boxes because I am sorting out craft supplies, house hold stuff, and other junk for a sale that I am doing in June. I want to clear out as much as possible so that the house doesn't look like something from "Hoarders Buried Alive"!!! Khuay has a box thing that is a riot. He tips them over so that the open part is flat on the floor and he will work his way under the box and work it so he can peek out and then jump out and attack.
This morning Khuay had positioned the box so that the flap would hold the box upright a bit and make it easier for him to dart under the box. This morning he was racing up and down the hallway full speed. He would jump on the bed, race around the bed and then race back down the hallway and under the box. I stumbled to the bathroom on my pain filled legs this morning, and just missed Khuay racing from the bedroom to the box in my work room. (about 50 feet) I finished in the bathroom, walked out in the hallway just in time for Khuay to come racing at me full speed. He saw me, his eyes opened wide and he tried to put on the brakes and stop. No such luck!!! He flipped on his side and slid full speed between my legs and into the bedroom. Two points for the goal! He scrambled to his feet, raced across the bed and headed back down the hallway and another two point goal as he timed it so he could race between my legs as I continued down the hallway. He got to the work room and jumped across the "hidey" box and into the tall Solo cup box, chattering the whole way!
I don't know how I managed to get a cat as crazy and with as great a sense of humor as Khuay, but at least there is never a dull day with him!!!

I'm boxing up my Smokey Bones cat and sending him to Khuay so they can races! Mine does that when he decides I will let him out whether I want to or not and he's always right. Otherwise, he manages to trip me up at every turn.
I think he would fit in perfectly with Khuay.
Hugs,
Maggie

I'd love to have Smokey Bones! I feel the more the merrier when it comes to cats. I am considering two white cats that are brothers. Unfortunately they are 6 months old and would be too old to fit into my clan.
Khuay has started to race up and down the hallway at night. Around 7:30 p.m. he starts the race. It is such a riot because he will be running up and down the hallway at full speed and very often either his brother Willy or Abby (the pit/lab mix) will cross the course as Khuay is racing in one of the directions...It is incredible the spectacular leaps that cat can do to avoid running into the critter blocking his track. Abby always looks so surprised when a little bundle of fur goes sailing over her back...it's almost a 30 inch jump... Abby will get a strange look on her face and come back into the family room and plop down in utter confusion and wonderment.

Oh my goodness! I can't help but laugh at your stories about Khuay! He's one silly cat for sure! Dull moment not in your house with him around! But he does sound like a lot of fun to have around though even if he does make a few messes along the way. You can't help but laugh at him and his antics! LOL

This is such a good laugh. I am sure that the laughter is good therapy for the pain. Glad he missed hitting you. When the weather gets on towards spring even my old geezer gets frisky. I do not know if it is the weather or what. Of course they own the whole house and only keep us people on as staff to keep them entertained with boxes and such and fed. One of the nurses at the blood center today was talking about having to go to Walgreens to get Easter bubbles for her cat. . . talk about spoiled. Just give the kitty a box.

I love this cat!
He sounds like he'd be a great fit here.
That he and Rygel would be best buds.
Happily, nobody thinks running between legs is a good idea, probably because the roomie has kicked a few - by accident - but she doesn't see them, when they have tried.
I got a beat up cat condo from freecycle, I want to take it out to the porch, but so far, they have had a cat in it full time since we brought it into the house!

Hi Loverbear! My cat Luna is constantly underneath my feet! He comes out
of nowhere and we both end up getting hurt and then he gets upset and hides
for awhile. He's the one that causes the collision! Years ago my cat Jaguar (RIP)
used to trip me all the time and once I ended up hitting my knee on the dresser
and dislocating it! He was a kitten at the time, but my knee ended up with 2
miniscus tears. I loved him anyway! My Star and Luna also go crazy at times and
I have no idea why or when, but I try to get out of their way! Khuay sounds just
too cute!
