Tyler Perry Plays and Movies

I've noticed that Tyler Perry's plays and movies get high ratings by casual viewers; however, professional critics think his work lacks in quality. I know that some of his work has endings that leave you wanting more or very common story lines, but I still think his movies are awesome and relate to life more than so many other plays and movies. Some movies are so unbelievable and aren't really what people go through. They are overly exaggerated and very unreal.

I've never been a fan of his movies, but it mostly goes down to personal preference. It's not that I think his movies are too predictable or dumb (it's a comedy, that's not what it's about), it's just that the jokes don't make me laugh. Everyone has a different sense of humor, so to each their own. Tyler Perry's just never been my cup of tea.

His movies aren't dumb, but they are predictable. I think those who relate to them most are those who like them most. Many people can't relate. I appreciate your opinion.
