Hi there gang,
Just wanted to share that yesterday after my game and have eaten lunch at 4pm here me and my girlfriend along with her sister and brother went to the church and bought (Palaspas) or coconut leaves that are beautifully knotted together so as to be used as for the greeting Jesus Christ, a somewhat reenactment of it. Well anyway it was nice and the sermon was really good. Don't know if this is practiced anywhere else but here in my country it is a big thing.

Hi atwilson!
During Palm Sunday, Catholics normally bring or carry palm fronds at the church. For Catholics/Christians Palm Sunday is marked as Jesus Christ's entrance to Jerusalem when his followers laid palm branches in his path, prior to crucifixion. I have also joined the special celebration yesterday. During the celebration, a thought suddenly hit me. The same people who welcomed and laid the palm branches in his path were the same people who shouted to crucify him...

Hi there ATWILSON & Juddith,
Well Wilson I guess Judith has already answered your question, i think she has done a better job more i could have, so i'll just leave it at that, well anyway it is celebration for whom who wants to celebrate it christian or catholic. Anyway Judith it is just ironic that those people who welcomed him was the first to throw him on the cross but we would had never been saved if not for those people, so i think in the end everything was according to God's plan.

Wow myflower,
Willow ey, well anyway as long as you celebrate the entry of Jesus into Jerusalem i don't think it would matter if it is twigs or palm that you are actually using it is great here plenty of stuff happens when it's that time of the year, church fasting and a lot of watching Jesus shows on the TV it is kinda nice.
