Are we really superior to cats?

When we were babies folks compared us to cuddly kittens. When we became teenagers we were the cat's meow. At middle age we began to prowl and wanted to howl. Now that we are senior citizens, folks call us sour pusses. At least cats have five more lives.
Do you think we are superior to felines?

Only because we can OPEN a can of cat food. Just ask any cat.

I don't give mine canned food; just supply a lot of birdseed in the feeders! (Just joking. Please don't call PETA on me!)

Mine are indoor cats (too many coyotes in my area).
Most dry cat food has too much non-meat fillers and the high quality dry foods are to expensive to be their sole source of food. For several years I made their cat food by hand; but, that was also expensive, time consuming, and messy and it was geeting difficult to find all the necessary ingredants. So, now, I feed a combination of can cat foot and high quality dry cat food (Blue Buffalo).

Hiya MM,
Are we superior to Cats well I am not really sure about that at all. I was never considered a cuddly kitten nor a cats meow either as a teenager (grin).
Throughout my life I might have wanted to howl and prowl just a bit but never anything more than that either.
Sour pusses won´t comment on that one.
I love Cats and I think that they have senses that we cannot understand yet. Probably because really they cannot be measured.
Cats love People well they love most of them I would say.
The Cat that was in our House when I was smaller was a sandy coloured tabby sort of like Ginger and he would spend most of the time I was there siting on my lap going to sleep.
He would never go to anyone else or bother with them except me.
I have known some lovely Cats along the way. One was a white Persian with beautiful sea green eyes and everytime she saw me go down the Stairs she would scratch at the Window for me to notice her and she would meow at me all the time and make a big fuss of me as well.
In that sense maybe they are superior to us. Who am I to say yes or no?xxx

Ask any cat and it will let you know by its actions just how inferior we are. They can catch mice without a bunch of traps and even if they have been declawed (which I detest - the declawing that is).
They can sleep up to fourteen hours a day and remain slender and fit.
They train us very well. For instance, to keep my cat off the dining room table, I tossed him out in the snow when he got up there. I did this a couple of more times feeling that I was getting through to him. It was only when the snow was gone that I realized he got up on the table ONLY when he wanted to be put outside!
Even if we do not provide food for them, they can provide for themselves much better than a dog left outside AND they don't have to band together with several cats to do it.
And I have never, ever heard a cat scream and jump on top of a table when it spots a mouse or rat!

NO ! I don't think we human are in any way superior than feline. Both actually compliment each other and enjoy mutual company to make our life more interesting, there is no superior or inferior relationship between us except cordial relatinoship exist between a mother and her baby.

No, we are very much inferior to cats, we feed them, bathe them, and clean up their poop. What is superior about that? Phases of our life don't count as different lives, they say cats have nine life's because cats seem to be able to live through a lot of trials.
