i sleep around 6 to 8 hours and during exams its another story i take a sleep break in between study time so that i dont go insane in the exam hall...but yes its very good for health to have an undisturbed sleep of 6 to 8 hrs..anything more might be not good and will make you lazy...for some people though just 4 hrs of sleep is enough and they are very active, its because they have high stamina developed my a hard working schedule...but for an average people 8 hrs should do

all what you told us here is write, and yes elder people sleeps less thats known scientifacly but as im sure you know that kids sleep more and as we grow our sleeping hours become less and less, thats normal. but the people that needs real sleeping are the one in our age, because we study, we work, we do many activity, we think of life and so on, in our age we need more sleep to wake up fresher and be able to do the activities. your teacher does he work or just practice this type of techniques ? because as you know the work affect us also

Different people need different amounts of sleep. Between 6 and 9 hours is normal. On the whole, children up to puberty need more and beyond the age of about 35 or 40 one tends to need less.
It is probably important to establish a routine. That is, one should try to go to bed and prepare for sleep at a regular time and wake at a regular time (which should be allowed to control itself).
Most sleep 'problems' are related either to worry and stress or to depression, both of which may benefit from professional help.

I usually go to bed at 2am, wake up at 7am. So five hours of sleep is all i need. I assume certain people need to sleep more due to different physical condition and mental health. Usually seven hours of sleep is normal and common among many people. certain people may need few more hours in addition to the seven hours of sleep every night, due to the nature of their work, or personal health situation.

It is enough to sleep 6 hours a day base on studies. But of course the ideal one is to have a complete sleep from 8-10 hours =) and I would love to experience that too. But since I am busy, I can't manage to do that, I just try to catch sleep on weekends.

hi thats whats comfunsig that some studies says sleep 6 hours which is enough and some other studies says sleep 10 hours, its really confusing, which is which is right, no body knows, but sleeping too much will make you lazy sure of that many times at morning i feel so tired for sleepig a lot

I think 7 hours of sleep would be enough because I have read in articles before that as people age, it is not being required for them to have 8-10 hours of sleep unlike growing children who really needs it for them to continue growing. I also sleep 7 hours and at the most 8 hours so I think it would be fine.

Well the recommended range for an adult is something like 6 to 8 hours. It depends mostly on how your body deals with that amount of sleep. Personally I feel better when I get around 6 hours than when I get 8 or more. There is such a thing as sleeping too much. You just need to find what works best for you, in my opinion.
