Ok. I have five kids. Old school learning is a thing of the past. I can clearly see how school is now really divided among home and school. I know that parents are supposed to help the kids at home too, but it seems like it's become a full time job just to help them study, do homework, and understand it all. I remember our teachers teaching us so well that all we had to do was homework and a little studying to stay ahead. Now it seems like school is the place to study and home is the place to learn the lesson. I give teachers their props...the good ones anyway. There are some out there though that could do a lot better. I've come across a few that make me wonder why they are teaching. One thing for sure, parents better know how to do this school work too, becuase they definitely have more on their plates.

hi there! our children always learns from home first. we, especially mothers, are the first teacher of our children. the teachers will teach them the lesson and at home, the children will take it home and they will learn from it through us. children learn more from us because sometimes teacher will do it fast that they can't catch up.

That is true. I think at home they apply it to real world situations. I just think it's getting ridiculous as to how much homework they have. Kids are getting burnout.

My daughters are fortyish yet I helped them out and they did much better than their friends. It´s not that difficult to teach them how to study and then they can study alone for the most part. Now we have the beauty of internet as a helper. There are many things (almost everything) that you can ask the web and the wikipedia will help you a lot.
