I always want to travel alone for at least one week or mroe.
But it's still on my to do list. I thought it might be result of my lack of time and money.
These two are so important, but it would not be a excues if you really want to do this thing.
I think you should try it.

Me too, I don't have the guts to travel alone and I don't want it. It's not just that I cannot go with myself and it's not that I have to depend on others to travel, but I think it would be really sad and it will make me feel lonely. I pity some people who travel alone because I don't want that for myself. I really think it's sad to be alone on a long trip on the plane. I have traveled alone on jeep before. Haha. And I can't stand being on a long trip without no one to talk to and it feels really lonely to be like that. What more if it's a plane ride, right? I won't be able to stand being alone because of loneliness and I have to talk!

I am actually rather jealous of everybody who manages to travel on their own, because I really wish that I had the bravery to be able to do that myself. However, I know that I would just be too scared if I had never been in the country on my own and if I didn't know anybody who lived there. The only place where I might consider travelling to is New York, because I feel as though I know the city rather well and they speak my language so I know that I would be able to get help from somewhere if I needed it for whatever reason.

I have travelled alone in the past, and I enjoyed all of my trips. I didn't find it scary to travel alone, but of courses there are some things that you should keep in mind when you travel alone as a woman. I never went out alone late night and I didn't walk alone in desolate areas. Another thing is the choice of hotels. When I was travelling alone I always avoided the cheapest hotels in the bad neighbourhoods, because I didn't feel safe there. When I went sightseeing during the day it was never a problem to travel alone, and I didn't have any bad experiences. Since I have met my husband I don't travel alone. We always travel together and I think it is really nice to be able to share the experiences, but if I were single I wouldn't be afraid to travel alone again.

I've travel alone most of the time, else I wouldn't get anywhere. Definitly not scary, can be boring if you have to wait for ages at airports or end up eating out alone many times, but apart from that I like the freedom it gives. I can choose what to do, when to do it and how to do it and spend hours taking pictures of things without anyone bothering me about getting on :-)

I have only ever travelled overseas alone on the way to visiting family, but I don't think that counts!
Travelling alone backpacking around perhaps Europe is something I am considering doing, but we'll have to see how the finances (and life!) go-

A pleasant day Graceekwenx,
For me, traveling alone is not a big deal. Especially if I have a friend to stay with, towards to the place or the country where I will be going. However, it will be a big issue for me if I will still be alone to the place I am heading to. Wherein, I will really feel afraid, if I will still be alone the moment I landed on the new place. Hence, I will feel a bit crazy maybe, as I do not have a friend to talk to. Although I can meet new ones but, it is not that easy to do since a different people have different traits.

I usually travel alone, but after i had health issues doctors have advised me not to travel alone, so some one is always with me during long journeys..
Best of luck.

Hi,Graceekwenx~
I haven't had this kind of experiences yet,but traveling around has always been my dream. Not necessarily alone. It would be great if I had company. But if I have to do it alone,I will.I would say traveling to another country would get my heart pounding hard, but I won't get scared. I believe it is one thing that's worth trying. And it will be a part of my unforgettable memories.
Have a nice day~

I haven't travelled alone to a country that I haven't been to before but I usually travel alone within HK and UK. I will feel really scary to travel alone in a countr strange to me as I don't know their language and system and I think it is dangerous to travel alone in a country or place that is new to me.

Traveling alone has always been my dream but so far I could not implement. Yet I am sure that, sooner or later I want to give me a trip, in a predetermined goal to me, obviously one of the most beautiful places in the world. I know that I would have the embarrassment of choice because there are wonderful places around the globe. But the crucial thing is that I want to do this trip only and only with myself, do not need companionship. When I leave? Well, there will be day and hour when I can implement this trip.

I traveled a lot alone, sometimes the thought is a bit scary, but once I'm traveling, it's okay. I like to take it as a challenge. If I travel with others, time flies more quickly, but alone I can decide how I spend that time. Friendly and helpful people can be found everywhere, in case I feel lost.

Yes. I've tried traveling alone and its an adventure. That was 7 years ago. It was a bet scary but just be confident that you can do it. You know, the feeling is so nice specially to me because I'm from the Philippines and when I reach HongKong...wow! the place is so different, the people, the buildings, ways of transportation, food, etc..... wow! you will be amazed and you will gain confidence to yourself.

I have to travel a lot in the past and I hope I will also in the future, but I was never travel alone. I don`t know why, but its kind of boring if you travel alone and also a bit scary. especially if you travel in to some dangerous or unsecure area. than is always beter to have someone near by.

Yes I traveled alone and to be honest I don't see any difference as traveling with others or my kids except for the fact it's less annoying, you have way more time to do what you like and it's cheaper as well.

hi.. It's always fun to travel with a company but yes, i have tried traveling alone several times. My first is when i travel from Cebu to Manila, if i remember it right, that was during Christmas vacation when i was in 1st year high school. I was only at my bunk reading a novel. My 2nd was when i ride a plane alone that it made me sign of the cross when the plane was making a movement like you were traveling in a dusty road. From then on, i was no longer afraid to travel alone as long as i know the place where i am going. ;)

I travel alone quite often. It isn't scary if you give yourself some guidelines to follow. Don't go out drinking late at night and always be aware of your surrondings. It can be great fun and you can experience lots of new countries. Good luck.

Awwww, I have been traveling alone scince the age of 17, There's nothing scary about it, if you are not sure of directions or plane times ect ect always ask someone. Always be prepared before you set off, maps, contacts, flights, time tables. My mother traveled to Florida last month by herself shes 65, she was a bit scared but she did it no problems :0) 18 hr flight, but she made sure she didn't have many connections between flights. Think of it as an adventure seeing different places and meeting nice people. But do still have your witts about you, don't trust strangers and you will be fine.

I did travel alone to England, it's not scary, and I actually feel very good about it. because it's so free, you don't need to negotiate with anyone, what time to get up, where to go, where to eat. you are on your own schedule. I feel as long as there is no language barriers, everybody should try travel alone one time, it feels so different.
