I was at a friends the other night and she was decorating a few buns/ cup cakes, I had so much fun.I had never used a pipe bag before and I will say it is not as easy as it looked.I said to my friend oh you have been busy cooking buns, with that she said no, the shop cooks plain buns, so they were cheaper than the iced ones, so she got those. She made it look so easy to pipe the icing on these buns that she had bought, when I had a go I made a right hash of it, lol, after a few tries I was getting better, but not as good as my friend. How do some people make things look so easy to do.

I really love cooking. Baking? I haven't explore this so far since I don't have a baking oven yet. Perhaps, after having one, I will try to make my own cupcakes and decorate it by my own. Hopefully before my son's birthday, I will have my baking oven so that I wil be the one to make cupcakes for him. This will save a lot because buyng ready made or making orders really costs higher that making your own.
Decorating cupcakes really needs practice to perfectly make good design. Keep on practicing and you wil have as good decorated cupcakes as your friend. Happy decorating.

Yes, but my son is still too young to help in in the kitchen.hehehe. Perhaps, when he grows older, I'll let him join me in my kitchen adventures.

I need to practice a lot more, before I get any where as good as my friend. Her cup cakes are like the posh ones that you can buy in the shops. She takes the time to decorate them just right, one of them that she decorated was not the way she wanted it, so she scraped the topping off and redecorated it.My friend is not into cooking things either, so I was shocked to see her decorating the cup cakes.

they are so fun to make, especially with little ones! for some reason they love getting their little hands dirty and helping around the kitchen!

I, to be honest, I'm not very good in the kitchen. But I must also admit that when I'm alone, I know the cunning, all modes, with than simple food.
I certainly do not ever prepare any other dessert that is not a simple cake from content preparation, already packaged and sold in the shop. My preference still remains the simplest sponge cake, without any decoration on it. Except only for the day of my birthday that my mother prepares "with her hands" a well-filled cake. In that circumstance, I like eating.

what are your favorite toppings? Cream? candy sprinkles? Marshmallows? Rice crispies? coconut flakes? What are the particular toppings you like in your cupcakes? What is your favorite type of frosting? Usually my favorite toppings are nuts cos they add something to the texture. I love cream cheese as frosting, I prefer it over whipped cream.
My most hated toppings would be bacon bits, I remember a bake shop have bacon bits as toppings for cupcakes... Its just weird,.

She uses fondant to decorate them and put all different decorations on the top.She had some coco flavor cup cakes.I find that there are a few decorated ones in shops, but they are nothing and no where near as nice looking or tasting as my friends ones that she makes. My friend is one of these people that can put her hand to many things.

That sounds great. My friend also has children and she often has a few of her children in the places where she is doing things, she also lets them help.It was great the other night at hers, as there was only me and her in the kitchen decorating the cup cakes together, chatting away and I looked at what her sons had decorated and it is strange, because ever their effort was a lot better than mine.I am going to see my friend later and she is making a few things, so I hope to get more practice in.

I know that there are some really nice ones in the shops, but they are dear to buy, so I never buy them.My friends cup cakes are just as nice as the ones in the shops, if not better.I can not understand why she do not try to sell to people, as I know there would be lots of people that would buy them from her.

This is one of my frustration. First is to be able to bake a cake or cupcake. Then decorate it afterwards. I feel that it would be fun. Hopefully, i can get to do that in the future.

It was great fun and we are going to be decorating a few more later on tonight.I love to see my friend, as you never know what she is making.I think that she must have loads of patience, as she is forever making and trying to do things. My friend is great at all crafts and the things that she makes are really nice, shame she will not try to sell the cup cakes, as I know that she would make loads of money doing this.

They practice alot. I like the show CupCake Wars, they have a really fun kind of competition and I get to see how the different kinds of cupcakes are now made. They fill them with all kinds of filling nowadays too. Interesting and very fun. I like using those piping bags, it does make them look more attractive and gives them all kinds of different effects too. I tried to do some fancy ones like that and it was hard at first. I know with more practice it would have wen better but am trying to cut back on sweets too.

I need loads of practice, but it was great fun.All the different kinds of nozzles that you can get is amazing.I will say that the topping tastes great that she makes as well. Also she had some sweet toppers that she put on them and they were great as they were hearts that she made and then letters imprinted on them.I am having another try with her at the weekend, lets hope that I will get better.

I'm not very good at decorating cakes or cupcakes. I don't do a lot of baking and I'm not very good at it either but I really like to look at what people can do with decorating cakes, cupcakes, cookies. It makes these things look so much more delicious and appetizing

My friend makes them look really pretty. If I had a talent like hers then I would be selling them, they are really nice, they taste great. She could easily make loads and then make a profit, but she wont, as she has other things that she is making and doing.I am going to see her later and it sounds like she is going to be busy decorating more, so I hope I get to help her.
