I write all kinds of stuff, articles mostly. Name a subject, I've probably written about it. I've written sales emails, blog entries, reviews and a lot of web page content. In fact, there's a good chance that any website you see is ghost-written, it's very common. It gets boring quite often--how much can you say about monogrammed napkins, for example, and the client wants 5 articles 500 words each!--but it's money in the bank and I need that money!

Thank you, Scheng, I have been so busy that I'd forgotten about that account. I'll try to take a look at it this weekend!

Hi Dragon54u, I guess you have forgotten all about your account in Expertscolumn.
You probably have a dollar or so in earning already.
I have just a few referrals there.
Since my referral earning has reached two dollars, that means the total sum that all of you earn is more than twenty dollars.
Your articles probably just earn a dollar.
Sometimes when we are away long enough, and then login to check the account, we will be surprised by the increase or decrease in earning.

I am a freelance writer as well. I have been doing this for about 2 years now. I write all sorts of things and I have three clients. I also write some personal blogs but not for income really. Then I write on a site or two as well. It all adds up eventually! I wish I was good at finding more clients!

It is indeed. I have two that provide pretty constant work and pay on time. Then I have a flaky one who sends me an order about once a month and doesn't pay me until he gets in a bind for the next order!! lol..

Thanks for the response.
It is tough to find enough things or clients to keep up your regular earnings.

I mostly do blogging myself. I have a couple of blogs which I try to maintain apart from writing for my clients. Like most other friends have said, whenever there is a nice freelancing opportunity, I do not forget to grab it. How about you, friend.

I have a blog but don't update it as much as I do other things as it doesn't seem to earn as much as some of the other income streams online.

I have in the past. For a while I used a site called Pay Per Post. I remember making around $50 or so using the site. It basically was a blogging related site where you could blog about a given item or whatever and, if approved, you'd get the stated amount. I did eventually give up on the site though when the prices dropped so much that it just plain wasn't worth the time or effort to do so.

hello! i have a blog and this is where i write the most. i am accepting article writing too but i have a fulltime work that is not realated to writing. i am a chemist and a mother by the way. i do writing because this is where i find the freedom to express my self. actually it is like a part time work for me since i am busy with my regular work. i have done 4 articles so far and paid for $5 each. i am still waiting for an email for another topic to write for. if you have a blog, it will help you a lot. goodluck to us!

shylade, $5 each? wow! Give us some more tips. I do have a day job too and I am trying to get into the business of writing online, still starting by the way, so I could earn some extra income. Apart from mylot, I don't have that much to go to when it comes to earning online especially writing, on a part time basis.

"Officially" I'm a freelance writer but I haven't written anything for a client for about 3 months because I've been doing all the follow-up work from publishing a book and building my own writing site. Normally, I'll write whatever anyone asks me to (as long as they're paying), just like most freelancers!

Yes, I earn money by writing online. It is one of the great things that I enjoy very much. I love writing on things that are related to my experiences and sharing some views on significant issues such as those related to relationship, earth savings, faith lifting and a lot more. And what I love to writing online is that aside from earning, it serves as my outlet. Have a blessed day!

I have been into writing articles for quite a some time now. When I write articles for others I find it quite easy because they provide me the outline of the kind of content they want. But when it comes to writing articles for my blog I often get perplexed. My brain gets jammed with hundreds of thoughts flashing and trying to make their way ahead of others. I am working hard to improve my writing skills. As far as topics are concerned, we should pick something that we have a good knowledge about.
Good Luck!

Congratulations! It's always great to hear a success story. I would imagine that you posted this discussion because you are trying to gather ideas from others and I would encourage you to do this periodically. It's amazing how you can hear about a good opportunity by word of mouth. I would also encourage you to have more than one outlet for your work. In other words, don't put all your eggs in one basket. I've heard of a few people who thought they found a nice way to earn some extra income on-line and unfortunately that one and only source of income dried up. It's always a good idea I think to have at least a couple of on-line avenues where you earn your income. If one goes away, you'll still have the other. I hope for your continued success.
