I have seen my husband's brother means my dever is not sleep till night 2 or 3 O'clock and wake up in the morning 8 O'clock. I think this is not good habit late night sleeping and not good for health also. What you think no problem if the person is sleeping late night or may be create health problem.

My views are similar to that of yours. I also feel "Early to bed ; early to rise" is good. If one has extra work he can work occasionally say upto 11 pm but still get up by 6 am.
In your b-in-law's case he is getting up at 8 am . this at least is ok as compared to many other people getting up say by 10 am. This they can do only on holidays.
I subscribe to your view largely. But young people (you are young but different in this respect0 may not like it,.

I think about 8 hours is probably a good amount of sleep to get. Some people are accustomed to only 5-6 hours of sleep a night, but I know I'm not like that! I need 8 or MORE! I feel like I can't function if I get enough sleep... So, no, I don't think sleep deprivation of any kind is good for you. . Happy MyLotting!

In my personal opinion I do not think going to bed late and getting up late is a health issue. I think we are all geared in different ways and as long as he is getting enough solid sleep it does not matter when or how he gets it. My son used to sleep all day and stay up all night. It was like his internal clock was backwards!

For an average person, a normal night of sleep that is healthy is 7-9 hrs. However, some people are just normally 'wired' and don't need as much sleep as the rest of us. Is your husband's brother hyper without coffee in the morning? A good way to tell if he is not getting enough sleep is if he is lazy or groggy in the morning.

For most people, after a while it may make them not so healthy. If it is only occasionally he probably will just be tired afterwards. It is important to get about seven hours of sleep for adults, so if you stay up late you should stay in bed later.

I think that you are right, we must rest at least 8 hours per day, sleeping late, I donĀ“t know if leads to heath problems, but, this time, take away from sleeping hours, will not let us work properly in the morning, and, maybe, sooner or later, body will resent this.

I believe that sleeping too late at night is not good for our health. I used to be one of the guys who go to bed after midnight, such as two or three o'clock and sleep only four to five hours. The consequence is that I often feel so tired when I get up in the morning and feel sleepy in the afternoon, which to some extent affect my work. It is said that our organs do special works when they rest in certain time during sleeping. If we fail to sleep during such period of time, such special works which are related to our health will be missed. So we'd better form good habit of sleeping in the proper time.

Well, I train 4 days a week in the gym and I can tell you that the normal hours of sleep are from 7 to 9 hours. I always stick to this rule so it may sound funny but sometimes i have to go to bad at 8p.m to have the 8 hours of strong sleep :)

Yes,of course it is a bad habit.According to all the vedas and health books, night is a time for comfortable relaxing sleep.we have to sleep at least 6 hours of night time.It will create some dark circles below your eyes also. You told your dever that instead of 2-8,he will sleep from 11-5.it is the best time to sleep and relax....and it will effect your skin too in a good way.....

Well it might not be good but everyone is going to have their own sleep schedule. Going to bed that late at night at a regular basis is just something that I would not personally recommend for any reason whatsoever. It is just something that is awkward, because the best time to sleep is between ten at night and six in the morning.
At least that is what I have found out. But I suppose if one gets eight hours of sleep, it is just not something that is going to matter all that much to say the very least. Of course this is very much less than eight hours of sleep, so that is really just not healthy not because of the time going to sleep, but rather the hours going to sleep.

I may not be a health expert, but from what i have read, lack of sleep at all times, can deteriorate your health eventually.
The sickness may not manifest soon, but maybe later.
Enough sleep is very important for our cells to recover from fatigues. Lack of it can be a big stress, which could make us lethargic or find it difficult to focus the next day.
Me, when i lack sleep for consecutive days, i noticed that my gums becomes weak and aches.

It is said that the healthiest and most beneficial sleep is what we get before midnight. Although I know many people who stay up late until midnight every day, and they have no health problems because of it. If they can get enough sleep by getting up later in the morning, it seems okay. Unless they don't let you sleep either.

Each of the human beings in the earth have different thinking and have different habits. Suppose if a person need at least 8 hours of sleep it doesn't mean that another need the same. It depends on the habits which you follow from your child hood days. The things which you follow in you childhood days is reflected on you life.

It's not healthy to have that kind of program.
People should always sleep from 11 pm to 1 am, from what I've heard that is the time when sleeping is best for our body.
Also people should sleep 8 hours a night not just 5 or so.
I'm not an expert but from personal experience a good night sleep makes you feel great. When I don't sleep enough i'm edgy.
