Breakfast is the most important meal for the day. I watching one of Dr Oz shows this morning. It featured a chef called Art Smith if I'm not wrong. He lost weight starting his restaurant business. His motto is have a breakfast fit for a king, lunch like a princess and dinner like a pauper. Quite an interesting formula there! I believe it works. Sometimes, you worked so hard that at the end of the day, you want to replenish your energy by eating more. That happens to me a lot. haiz..

Yes, I believe breakfast is the most important meal of the day. We always eat more in breakfast then lesser in lunch then much lesser in dinner as what we eat in dinner usually doesn't burn out when we sleep. I also always read it in health magazines.

This is what I have been told by Doctors.
Breakfast should be as large as possible, mainly of carbohydrates and some protein. The thought behind this is that in the morning the body needs a lot of calories because it is the most physically active time of the day. Proteins are there to provide need to maintain essential requirements of the body.
Lunch should be as light as possible, as the energy that comes from that is needed only to get one through the rest of the day. Protein is essential here and carbohydrates as less as possible. Carbohydrates induce drowsiness, which is not needed for that time of the day.
Dinner should be the average of Breakfast and Lunch, both in protein and carbohydrate mix. Remember, there is a large time gap between dinner and breakfast and waking to an empty stomach can be harmful.
Big breakfast, Light lunch and a Decent dinner is the mantra.

Breakfast is really important but not for all people. And depends what consistent means for every person. In no way consistent means a big quantity. For example, I use to eat in the morning but very little: two eggs and bread and butter or cheese with some reddish. If I eat too much I feel like sleeping, not at all working. So it depends on each person.

I learned from school when I was a kid, that in the morning, we should eat like a king, eat like a prince during lunch, and eat like a slave during supper. I think, for good health, we should follow this principle.

Yes, you should ALWAYS have Breakfast if you can because you need that food and that extra energy in case you can't get any during the day, and that has happen to me before. I would eat breakfast, but I would be able to eat again until dinner because I didn't have much time for lunch while I was at school.

I think our breakfast is one of the main things that sets us up for our day, so we should try to make sure that we have a balance of food types in the meal, and also eat it at the same time every day which would help your body to get used to doing things at a certain time which would mean that you would have more energy for the rest of your day. I think a good breakfast would be porridge with a sprinkling of nuts on the top, with some fruit and a yoghurt, as that means that most of the major food groups are then covered.

I definitely think that having breakfast is very important; and that it is equally important for it to be substantial. I know personally when I eat breakfast I do not have as much hunger or cravings later in the day. I try to have a well rounded breakfast that has lots of protein. My evening meals have less carbs too.. so you may be right!

Breakfast serves as the fuel of the day. It's the time of the day when you have to condition yourself and energize for the whole day. But the rest of the meals should be eaten moderately as well. Still, I believe that dinner should be served light only. After all we we'll be resting by then and so we won't be needing it much.

Yes. I think we should always eat breakfast so we can do our early work efficiently. Everything starts in the morning so we should give our body enough meal. I think we should eat according to our need. We should not base it on the amount we ate in the past meals.
