Well in my family and pretty much in all the Country, people get together an have a holly meal. There is so much home made food there, that sometimes I wish there where more holidays like this one. Even though the last couple of years I didn't get the chance to go home and join the party, this year I will probably be there. How do you spend Easter? What type of traditions do you have?

Ahhh... Easter! Well, I plan to go to Mass that Sunday - you know, commemorate Jesus Christ's resurrection? Back in my youth, I'd join in the fray of an Easter egg hunt. It was really fun searching for motley plastic eggs, then opening it after counting the eggs and seeing who won the jackpot.
Well, besides the usual church service (hey, I know all too well that Jesus's resurrection is the true meaning of the holiday, not Peter Cottontail), I might dye an egg with a crayon-resist motivational phrase (I work in a legit MLM). I might go to an egg hunt, but nowadays, I'd videotape it by phone. Aside from being too old to actually join in with the kids, it would capture those moments with technology!

In this country that I live in since 1999, we do not celebrate Easter at all as it does not exist in our religion. That said, in my own country, South Africa, I used to cook a nice meal, but first made some easter eggs and hid them all over for the boys to try and find. Not only did they have lots of fun doing that, it also gave me time to prepare a delicious meal for all of us. Sometimes my brother and sister would come to us with their families too and it was a good time to see and be with everyone.

In my country (Greece) family get together, we make lots of home made food :), music is on almost all day, and we have a great party, sometimes we invite friends to join us too and that is even greater, you should be with your family, not only because it is the tradition but because it is that time that you dont want to spend it with anyone else..

this year we are doing what we do every year. get all the kids together in the family, go out to the park, BBQ, and let the kids do their east egg hunt. not much just simple. the nigh before we color eggs. that's about it. maybe this year we will have a sleep over with the kids at my house so we could do the eggs the night before. happy holiday to you all.

Easter has always been a family occasion for me, and I very much like it like that. At some point during the weekend, depending on which ones of us have to work at the time, we will have a family meal at our house and invite a lot of people around. This is good as it gives us the chance to keep in touch with those who we love. If we have children at the time, then we will always arrange an Easter egg hunt in the morning, which is fun and means that the children are kept entertained during what would otherwise be just a boring family day.

We will definitely attend the early morning mass. Other than that there is nothing much that we do on Easter Sunday. Well I guess I will just do something on the table setting by putting decorated eggs on top of it. I was thinking of writing our names on it or putting glitters for glittering Easter egg. There will be no need to hunt for them as they will be shown on top of the table lol!
