Butterfinger brownies

My favorite candy bar is a butterfinger. My favorite dessert is a brownie. I love baking and creating new recipes, so I figured I'd try to make a butterfinger brownie. I didn't use the candy bar. Instead, I decided to create the butterfinger taste on my own. I took a from-scratch recipe for brownies, subtracted the cocoa, and added my two secret ingredients. The first batch (day 1) didn't turn out as planned. They were tasty, just not sweet enough and didn't have enough of my second secret ingredient. The second batch (day 2) turned out delicious and rich, but not butterfinger. They were close, but not close enough for me. I wasn't about to give up there. The third batch (day 3) came out perfect!! Everyone I gave them to said they tasted just like a butterfinger without the crunch. Have you ever had a great idea for a new dessert or dish? Did you have to try over and over again to make it perfect? Did you lose sleep at night thinking about what would make it perfect? What new types of desserts or dishes have you created?

I'm a member of Pinterest too. I was addicted when I first signed up and I found a ton of delicious desserts and meals to try. I've only tried one from the site so far. It was some kind of hershey pie. They weren't that great, so I tried it a different way. I still have to perfect that recipe, lol. I'll get to it one day. =)

Mmm I love butterfinger's as well, sounds good. Now I usually just throw things in a pot and go about it. The other day I made some taco's and they were delicious, I did my own seasonings. I don't fret over, just buy some things and voila bam basically.
