Something New

I did one of those Rustic Chicken Season and Shake things for dinner tonight - I thought I'd be brave and try something new.
The man of the house is a tad fussy to say the least with new foods, but always willing to try them. I was dreading him not liking it, but I'm fed up of eating the same crap day in, day out. It was delicious! Even 'he' enjoyed it!
I always worry when I try something different for dinner in case it ends up being a spoiled dinner and we both go hungry, but it paid off this time.
What new food have you tried lately? How did it go down with the rest of the household?

The most recent new food that we tried was a Buffalo Chicken Pizza that my b/f made. It actually went over really good. I was surprised I liked it so much. He is one that likes spicy food and I am ok with that as long as it doesn't burn my tongue off...lol..he is notorious for heating things up. I got a new pizza pan and he has been really trying it out lately.

Hello Irish clog and welcome to myLot. I love to try new recipes but most of the fam8ly don't want to try any thing new. I like you get tired of fixing and have the same thing day after day. last night I fixed an Amish 6 layer casserole and two members of the family thought it was pretty good. Three members refused to even try it because It had some onions in it. It called for sliced potatoes, chopped celery, ground beef, and sliced onions and covered with tomatoes.

I haven't tried anything new lately but i can understand the hesitation to try new things worrying that others in the house won't like it but sometimes it pays off and we can find new recipes to try out and have more varieties in our meals. I have a few recipes saved on my computer but haven't had the time to try them out yet...
