I've sold another item on ebay and more than a week ago I had one already filing a dispute saying goods were damaged when they weren't - I won the dispute then. Now another buyer is disputing for again item being not as descibed, what is up with those people?? I don't think ebay is safe to do business anymore :(

Ebay isn't for the sellers anymore and never actually were but these days it is even worse with the way the feedback allows them to neg you and you can't neg back, etc. I am noticing more of that too though. In February, I had one customer who had emailed me saying he never got the item and the delivery confirmation told a different story that it did get to him and was delivered. He still kept on with the fact he never got it and he actually blamed me for not sending it even when the d/c said it was! I gave him the number too in fact to check for himself. So now, how can he then say I still have it when the tracking said it was delivered??!! He never even blamed the PO or it getting lost, etc. Just blamed me for not sending. Some people just aren't playing with a full deck. I told him he could fight it if he wanted to and put all the nastiest feedback or ugly words on my rating if he wanted, but I would just type the d/c # under it and let other people see that it was delivered.

i really don't know what those people are trying to achieve. like last dispute, he wouldnt even respond when asked to return item to me, like they imagne they're gonna get it for free + cashback, just awful.

Exactly, it is why I chose to have the delivery confirmation # mandatory. So far no one has tried to tell me an item hasn't been described as promised but I expect one day it will happen.I have had all kinds of things happen in over 8+ years of selling believe me. One lady got Square Trade on me due to the fact of something that her own fault (she lost the case, big surprise and was later kicked off of eBay after having given lots of other people trouble on there as well), and other horror stories I could get to talking about but I just want to forget most of them.

I'm not sure if Square Trade is still used for this purpose but back in the day it was and wow was I ever amused. She had nothing on me, she didn't send the money order and blamed me for getting it anyways and not sending the item. I told her that the advice I got from the Ebay forum people was to trace the money order and she quickly "disappeared" never to be heard from again.

Hi apocalyptic. I am an ebay buyer and i always leave positive feedbacks to my sellers. Should i come disappointed with the stuff that i got, i would ask for the contact details of the seller and contact her direct. I am not a fan of putting of negative remarks in ebay. I respect people too much to damage their reputation. Last february, i had been getting stuff in ebay india and i had communicated to the seller that i prefer that the stuff comes to me via sea cargo and never via fedex because i am afraid to be charged too much by our customs department. She did send the pouch out but through a domestic parcel which has no way of tracking it!!! It is april now but i still have not received my parcel! My seller and i had been communicating on this... i was telling her that i am really starting to get disappointed. Anyways, Paisapay has already credited my money back to me... As i got my money back, i have no right to maroon her but still i wished i have my parcel...

Hi Gracee, Love to hear that a respectful comment on supporting eBay selling business. As I am an eBay seller, there are serveral things out of our control. Like the shipping services, custom clearing progress. And at my bottom of my heart, buyer do get most out of the offering. They are treated good by eBay protection policy. No matter what the seller prove or said, at the end the dispute claim was given okay to buyer. Again, I am glad to hear you are a person to treat seller in good.

i find that ebay doesn't really do all it can to help the sellers, but the buyers on the other hand, ebay knocks themselves out (so to speak) which is weird because you can't have buyers without sellers.

Exacly, without any proofs they can make up stories of damaged goods and you cnt do a thing other than follow the dispute and hope it turns in your favor

I just started using ebay but I try to be a fair buyer just as I would hope the sellers to be fair. I wouldn't say anything was damaged unless I was absolutely promised tip top shape and it was clearly worse then dirt. Is it the same buyer from the last time? It's odd you've had this happen twice. Ebay needs to make it fair for both the buyer and the seller.

Oh man, that stinks! Is there any way though that the item could have gotten damaged in the shipping process? I am all over eBay right now and have been for about a month, selling old clothes & whatnot that I don't use or wear anymore. I've made a pretty good amount from them. and luckily I have not had these issues.. Or any really, not yet anyway. I am afraid of selling to those scammers though. I hope you figure your situation out!

This is bad! We are planning to create a store on ebay. I think the only way to fight this kind of dispute is had a video while wrapping the item and sending it to the courrier. And if the item still broken or have a defect the problem is on the courier. Just like what happen to the courrier in USA which caught in a CCTV camera.
