Is The Galaxy Worth It?

I need your opinion about Samsung's Galaxy Y phone model. I'm seriously considering buying it since my phone is pretty banged up. I bought it used already and, as much as it looks like the parts will fall out, it's pretty durable. Anyway, my brother has a Samsung Galaxy Y and I've tried it. It's quite alright. I'm not really a big fan of touch-screen phones since I like to type a lot, and I'm used to typing on the usual keypad, not even comfortable with a qwerty keypad. Galaxy Y's resolution is nice. It runs on Android, don't know which version, I think it's 2.2 Gingerbread. Of course you'll have access to the Android Market where you can drown yourself with the available apps. The touch screen is responsive, but I don't know how fast its processor is. It has expandable memory, so I can download many videos and mp3's. Well, enough with the blabbering. What do you think about it? Would you buy it? Lemme know.

Hi front, i have my mini galaxy here by my side they have a great apps and android pay a good role while browsing here in internet but sadly, even i only have few games here in my mobile -- err it is about less than five games- the phone often slow, hang and error. we have to push to close it in the middle operation. maybe you can expanded the memory, but still it can't guaranteed to make it faster. i buy it cause it is still worth than Blackberry or Nokia which have a minim apss.

Good for you. Personally, I think android is the best OS that I have ever used. I had been a symbian user for the past four years. I had also tried Motorola and Sony Ericson, but their OS does not come close with Nokia Symbian OS. Regarding to your question, first off you need to weigh what you want. If you are fond of texting, you might try going for another phone. By the way, I owned a Samsung Galaxy W. Based on my experience, I think this phone is very good in typing especially in qwerty mode. Budget wise, Samsung galaxy Y is enough. I believe it run on Android gingerbread 2.3.5 or 2.3.6. However, if you are really fond of watching quality videos, surfing the net, texting, playing games (I am addicted with it), then Samsung Galaxy W is quite worth it. It has been a month and a half since I used SG W, but never I got bored with it. I have a lot of applications plus the games are really good in this phone; there is nothing else you can ask for. I suggest that you save money more. You will never regret buying SG W. Personally, I want to upgrade to Samsung Galaxy S2, but it is already very expensive plus I do not see any big difference between SG W and SG S2. Yes, the big screen really plays an important role for me because I like watching movies and music videos, but other than that, there is nothing much difference between the two because they have the same OS android gingerbread though SG S2 can be upgraded to Ice cream sandwich. If you want to try SG W for a demo purpose, if you are located in Manila, you can go to Mall of Asia, in second floor. There is a Samsung Store there and you can try all phones from smartphone to tablet. You can try and see what phone really works best for you. So, do not be in a hurry, save a little bit money especially if you are a kind of person like me who like surfing, watching quality videos, game user, etc. By the way, the battery only last for a day if you used it excessively like playing games and surfing the internet, but with light use like texting, listening to music and watching videos, it lasts for two to two days and a half based on my experience. Good luck.

I guess it is worth it when you just want to have a light usage of this android phone. Samsung galaxy Y is like a baby android of the Samsung Galaxy family. Try consider buying it but don't expect too much from this android phone because it is just a starter for android phone but nice enough my friend. My classmate and my boyfriend's sister has it and I think they are pretty having a good time using the phone.

I dont like touch-screen phones because I think their power-consumption is too large. This Galaxy Y's battery capacity is 1200mAh, and I don't think it's enough for a full-day's use. In general, the parameters of this phone is worth for its price. And if u like play systems, Android is a good choice. Well^^
