But that's because of my Brother's process to transfer to a new house, which got me involve for days. though i pray every night and day my time has been swayed by this. am just taking my time to do mylot as past and rest time.
I just can't believe my brother went on planning like this in holy week. actually, i haven't been active with going to the church either since my mom and my brother are..but before i used to be the most active one, i just didn't know why i became inactive now.
Good luck with those who want to attend the holy week's church masses.

Me too... i don't have any participation this year but I'm kinda "cleaning out my closet".
I also just moved and so i have my stuff all over the place. I can't even think how to put everything where it should be. I got a lot of stuff i feel like i'm spring cleaning.
Anyway at least last year i was able to do something worthwhile. I went through a reflection period last holy week and i even wrote an article about it: http://relijournal.com/christianity/lent-is-a-season-of-reflection/
I guess i'll just go to church on Sunday.

Hello owstlga, It's easy to be a bit emotional and feel that you can change. I used to have that feeling too but unfortunately the only thing that i consider change is through within me. I've attended church masses and even holy week over the last few years, but some how i feel that i need to make a real change to myself and know what i want in life.

That's fine Letran as long as you pray. Later you'll find time to go to the church. I just hope you'll be active again even not for the Holy Week but in the days to come. God is good, he'll find you time.

Hello bing28, for the past few days, I've been doing more good and with self control and less complain. i just don't understand as to why i would always get mad and complain doing chores after going to the church, doesn't look like a change progress to me. i will return and attend church mass, that's for sure.

i hope you still find time to celebrate holy week in a religious way. i know there are many ways to celebrate it, but reflection on the life of Christ won't take much time and effort to do. the blessings will multiply in your favor. have a blessed holy week.

Hello mensab, To be honest i don't want to go to church at all if i don't feel prepared. sometimes it makes me feel hypocrite if i go there and i end up not listening to the priest sermon. but i will attend the church mass, probably next week, this moving out plan by my brother probably destroyed my plans on ever participating in the holyweek.

Just like you, I haven't been active with going to church for years. I am more comfortable with my own relationship with God. Last week, I was invited by some of my friends to come with them to attend mass on different churches, all is set until 3 days ago, my dad told me that they are going to spend the rest of the holy week in our resthouse and I will be left here in the house with my son who is sick. Well, I have no choice but to stay at home. I just watched the 7 last words on television.

Hi Letran Knight: I think that's sad, specially for you being a Catholic not to participate on the Holy Week activities. However there was a good reason. You were helping your brother and that's something really good and if you did it as a good work, well it's also a nice thing for your spiritual life. I hope next time you'll have more time to share in your religious community.

I haven't been a praticing Catholic for a while but I do attend the masses on the verge of pressure from my family. It is the tradition after all. Hpwever, since the line between vacation and penitence tends to blur in our modern times, I think many of us tends to lessen the significance of the tradition and opt for the vacation instead (this is just my assumption). The tradition is enduring but many people, especially the youth, seems not to hold some traditions into high regard. Perhaps practicing them put of tradition might extend its existenced but it might lose its importance on the way.
