This is so amazing to me and exciting! My first thought was "No anti-rejection drugs!"
I mean, one of the drawbacks to transplants are those darn anti-rejection drugs. But with this new technology, a person can have this surgery and never worry about taking those nasty meds. Check it out and let me know what your thoughts are! Is it not truly an amazing advancement in medicine?

That is absolutely incredible. To think they can just install a pump and you're good to go. I know without the hard work and ingenious ideas of these doctors so many people would not be alive today. The best thing, with this new pump... nobody has to die in order for someone else to survive. I love it!

I also despise taking pills. I watched my mother pop them like they were candy all through my childhood and the majority of my adult hood. It's sad that people ( including myself ) rely on so much medicine. I got trapped in the anti inflammatory trap for years but finally realized I'm not doing my body any good so now the only pills I take are my thyroid medicine and when I desperately absolutely can't stand the pain anymore,.. Tylenol.
I can't say I would never get a transplant, I sure as h eck wouldn't like it,.. but I mean if it were necessary to keep me alive so that I could be here for my kids, I would have to. I wouldn't like the idea, but I would have to do what's right for my boys.
