Firefox unable to connect

Three days ago I couldn't get anything to come up on Firefox. Every icon I clicked on said 'Unable to connect'.
I unintalled it and reinstalled it and it still wouldn't work. I uninstalled it again and left it for two days. I reinstalled it just now and it's the same thing.
None of my icons will connect. Right now I'm having to use Explorer, which I don't like because it's slow as Christmas and it doesn't spell check.
Nothing has changed on my computer that I know of.
Does anyone out there have any thoughts on this?
For what it's worth I installed the 11, what ever that is.
Thank you.

I had the same mistake like you since yesterday afternoon. I don't know what's wrong. At first I wondered whether my computer was infected the computer virus but I already scanned it and it seemed it was OK. I also tried to uninstall and install the latest version of Firefox but the same mistake is still available. Now I have to use a proxy software so that I can get online in Firefox. Is this a bug for Firefox?
I love China

I have that frequently with firefox too, also a problem is you are forced to install the newest version, which is more and more heavy for my laptop to run.
I think this has to do with firefox and all the so called extra's I don't need at all
