Men get away with things

I think everybody have a choice to make in their life. Some men who impregnate woman and feel not ready for responsibility choose to run away. Society call them jerk or coward. Women who got pregnant can also choose weather she will keep the baby or she choose to do abortion. I'm not saying that these things is OK to do, but that is the option that we can choose. Same as men, women who abandon their children will be judge by society too. When it comes to children, i always thought "don't have one if you're not ready for the responsibility that comes with them." and all adults know how NOT to make a baby. The sad part of our world is most of us want to have children but don't want the responsibility that comes with them.

hi aja well thats a contradictory statement as all men do not get away with things nor all women, some men are jerks but a lot of men are just loving wonderful guys who would never cheat on their mate ever. the world has always been male dominated but its getting better now and a lot of us have husbands who do help with the house work and care of the children.they are proud to be the daddies and love to read tho their children. I took some classes in philosophy and learned some men do wrong and some women do wrong. but a lot do not do any wrong. And the world has never promised women or men a fair deal so we deal with it. [

Yes they do! I cannot begin to tell you how much men get away with. Example: I always have to keep my house clean, make some kind of income for the family, and I have to do well in college so that I can make more money and truly provide for my family. I couldn't date back in high school, and I was always told that boys were off limits. I was pretty much expected to be perfect. My brother was never told to keep his room clean, he was forced to do well in school, but my mother and step-father always knew that he was gifted, so that wasn't a problem for him, and he could get jobs just by smiling (he was like Tony Stark, smart, incredibly charming, and could get all of the ladies), he could also do whatever he pleased with the ladies and get away with it. My boyfriend has had to take care of his sister, but he has never been forced to do well in school, and he has never be told to keep his room clean. Now, he is looking for a job, and he really is working on getting one. For most all women and girls that I have ever talked to, when you ask them "What's your role in your family?" If they are the eldest daughter, then they will tell you that they are bombarded with a lot responsibility, and if you say that to the men or the boys, isn't always the case. It's almost as if women are always held to a higher standard than men.

Yes! I so much agree with you. Men and women are not equal. It is so unfair that men can always get away with it. If men cheat with other women, he will not be called a sl*t or a man wh*re. He won't be gossiped much by other people. It will seem natural. But if the women cheat, she will be gossiped, she will be called a sl*t and a wh*re and other mean things. She will not be respected. Her dignity will be damaged and so on and so forth. It's just so unfair that married men can act like singles while married women have to act according to what the society believes what is right!

I agree as above, as there are instances of being the other way around, lol! The changing times have cope up with empowerment of women in society and some have surpassed what is expected of them.

men and women alike have profitted greatly from creating blogs, books, websites etc all dedicated to the differenes between men and women. women are biased in thinking men get away with everything. men are biased as they think women control everything and manipulate situations.. it is something that has been argued since the beginning of time, and probably will always be argued lol!

Perhaps if you had a better opinion of men and didn't tar us all with the same stereotypical, insulting opinion, you'd have a better experience. Why would ANY man feel the need to treat you decently when you obviously expect so little of any of us. Personally, given your opinion of me (as a man), I wouldn't touch you with a ten-foot barge pole. I'd much rather find someone nice to be with.

Of course double-standards are unfair. They are unfair regardless of what gender you happen to be. I know that sometimes things are difficult on women, especially in cultures where women do not have the power or rights that men have. In these circumstances, I really do not know what to say, because things should change but many of the men in power do not want these changes, so chances are they will not change ... or if they do change, then the change will take a long time to happen. Unfortunately, there seem to be women in these cultures that do not want things to change, either, and that I find extremely upsetting.

i think some men are like that because they know that no matter what, their girlfriends or wives will still e there to accept them because they love them so much no matter how many times they do them wrong. girls are really emotional and gets hurt easily, but even though the boyfriend cheated, usually, the boy says sorry and makes promises and that's it, back to normal again. it is just sad that most men are like that.

yeah I totally agree with you, I also can't understand why like this? why societies can't judge both sexes equally, and why both sexes don't have equal rights and responsibilities. really unfair!

The ladies will always have it tough. I wonder why we have it so tough. Men are stronger, can or have the ability to take advantage of a woman and and don't have to worry about things like periods or giving birth. It sucks to be a girl sometimes. Guys and girls think very differently and we'll never be able to understand each other and that's why all those arguments arise. I guess we just have to tolerate. Since the beginning of time, women were typically deemed as submissive compared to men. Even today, we do have rights and equal to men but there are still cases where obviously, it's not fair. But we're working on it, only time will tell.

And women gets away with crime, just say some guy just assaulted you and who will believe the guy?
