hi my lotters!!
Last week I read the articles of a young boy who are allergic to all foods(poor boy)even he smell or taste it, can you imagine that all foods? the Doctor diagnose him a eosinophilic esophagitis. He gets most of his nutrients through a formula prescribed by the doctor, and a feeding tube in his stomach, because of his disease. he cant go to school only her mother teach him.
This is the saddest things ive ever read. it sad i really hope there is a cure for this disease.

WOw..that is a real pity. Then what can he eat then? It is truly sad to be born yet locked away from the world. I hope someone can cure him soon so he can enjoy the world soon.

Oh my! I didn't know there is such a disease like that! I bet the boy is so thin! If I am the parent of this boy,I will for sure do anything to make my son live a normal life. I hope doctors will find a cure for this kind of disease. Do you have any picture of the boy?

Very sad !
The only thing we can do for him is pray to god for his sake. So pray to god to recover him as a perfect human being with all of the abilities and also lets pray to god not to make such affected humans anymore.

That is terrible for a little boy to be allergic to so many foods, he is really a trooper. I hope his mom takes good care of him. I will pray one day there is a cure.
At age 6 the Dr said I was allergic to peanuts. I stopped eating them for awhile and then mom gave me peanut butter again not too far after and I never got the rash again. Then while in my late's 30's I started to be allergic to it again, and maybe chocolate. I still get rashes from eczema on my hands and such if I eat them sometimes.

This poor child. I wonder how the mother eats?
I hope this is something he can outgrow or they can give him a medicine for. I have heard of people outgrowing some types of allergies.

as the boy matures he will ultimately outgrow some of his allergic reaction to certain food.

awh that is so very sad, poor lil boy :( i can partly relate to a feeling not being able to enjoy all foods fully since 2 or so years ago I've been diagnosed with acid reflux which is a part of that disease - preventing you to eat all foods, cause they get stuck and you panic you gonna choke and stuff, its a terrible way to live with and quite hard to adjust, so I do hope they find some cure for this boy. I wouldnt wish this condition to my worst enemy.

Dear friend, what you describe in your question, it is really sad!
It seems impossible these days that a human can live with such a physical dysfunction. Very impressive.
Although the field of medicine, say that and I emphasize has made ??some giant steps, I find myself still desperate cases like this poor boy!
I find myself even to cry, yeah, because I am an extremely sensitive!
The hope of this creature if it could come out in a future (hopefully not too far away!) Therapies are discovered to make sure that this child is eating and drinking like all human beings.
We can only pray and hope for him now!

That is too bad for this child. I did know a friend in college who was allergic to a large amount of foods. She couldn't eat gluten, lactose, caffeine. If you think about it, this is in quite a bit of foods! She didn't have to go as far as getting a tube for formula, but has found some foods at a health store she can tolerate.

I read about this in yahoo news. It's really a sad story.I think the only remedy for allergies is desensitization. That means you have to be exposed or eat the food you are allergic to,but these should be done under the care of professionals.I don't know if it will work for him but it works for me.
I'm allergic to shrimps and crabs before but I overcome it without professional help.I ate a lot of them while taking anti-allergy medications. Now I don't have troubles eating them. However I think it would be difficult for him because he is even allergic to smell.Hope that a cure can be found for his case.Life can be so sad without even knowing or tasting food.
