Getting a job is not really that hard, based on my experience. But that depends, are you applying for a job in line with what you studied in college? or is it a different career? if in line with your job, yes, i agree, it is quite hard, because of the competition. with how you answered in the interview or if you passed or failed the test -- some factors of not landing the job. what did you take up in college by the way?

I am seeking a job in line with my college education. Business Management. I have also taken classes for Property management/Real estate. I have been called by so many staffing companies but the pay is very low. It is a challenge.

Hard to get a job? If you're not good enough then maybe. If you're excellent then tons of companies want you to work for them. My cousin for instance he is graduating from college and tons of companies want him to work for them because he has the skills and he's excellent in it. Even if you still don't have a job, you can convince the company in interviews that you're capable.

Perhaps, to say the job is difficult, and also can be regarded as something easy. Education, can not be used as benchmarks, to easy or difficult, to find a job. In my opinion, all depends on luck, and our creativity. If it is hard to find a job, we can create jobs for ourselves. To create their own jobs, we are required to have creativity.

Skills alone is not gone to cut it. I look in the newspapers and fill out numerous applications and all I see is bilingual is a must. I only speak English and I too have a degree. Its quite frustrating when you've spent so much money on an education and you can't find a job. I often pray and I have an offer for some substituting and I suppose that's better than nothing. So don't be discouraged and keep searching you'll bound to find something. Many employers hire who they know and this to can be a road block.

I understand your frustration completely! I spent nearly 2 years trying to find a job and even though I have a Bachelor's degree, it just seems that in this job market, it doesn't carry much weight anymore! The only thing I can suggest is to be persistent. It took a great deal of struggle but I did finally find something that could be potentially awesome in the long run! Don't give up. You can do it.
