Overclock iPhone 3g

as we all know iPhone 3g is very slow and it's CPU is underclock at 412MHz but the processor stock speed is 600MHz, I don't know why apple underclocked it except for the power management purposes,
My question is does anyone know a way to get to the bios of an iPhone and overclock it?
