i remember when we got our first home computer and cell phone the cell phone was a bag phone that stayed in your car.. and the computers were all huge screen no small ones heard of or i mean thin. screen.. but also at that time only the people who had money could afford to buy.. and then when it got more popular the middle class people could buy so that is when we bought and we still paid a gret amount for these two items (computer and bag cell phone) then later everyone could afford them..i remember thinking they were both great and was so happy.. my parents never did learn how to get on the computer.. and i hogged it anyhow lol i remember back then there was a site i loved it was like a chat where you could pick who you wanted to talk to oh it was called ICQ and it was big back then and i loved it stayed on it way too much.. and as bad as i hate facebook.. it is noce sometime to find and talk to old friends.. and facebook allowed me to do that.. as i moved away from my home town and all my friends stayed there.. but i seldom get on
maybe once a week...but just think how hard it would be now to go to walmart and they have no computer to quick scan the items and have to use the green stickers for price and type it in. each item.. and you could imagine if one did not have that sticker you were screwed and had to wait for them to go get one with a sticker
so im glad for the computer scanners as i use to work at walmart.. i think some things about computers are great and then some could be bad such as allowing those sites to be online bad sites so anyone could see bad things even children now they have parental options but still i feel if kids want to see it bad enough they will get online.. and then too even adults.. its terrible... so i dunno good or bad
could go both ways.. but once again with out computer family s spent more time togehter and kids did useful stuff instead of being online all the time..

I think it's really hard to imagine what the world would be like if we didn't have computers, for the simple reason that I grew up with them in my life so I don't know what it was like before they were invented. I think that people would struggle to get through the things that they have to do in an average day because they have come to rely on the internet and the service that it provides so much. I know that whenever I want to find out a piece of information I will always go on a search engine before I bother to look something up in a book, and I am fairly sure that there would be other people who were the same as me.

maybe consider . people would pay more attention to each other more, get out more and maybe even stay out of debt more.. I enjoy my computer also because it is company and easy for me in other areas. but for a younger person I think a limit is better to be on one. seems like everything is going computer now..but has its good and its bad..remember family first and friends later alot to be thankful for...

Maybe better or maybe worst, i don't really know. Today human have to compete with machine/computer because many of the work now done by automated system so the area/places for human to work keep decreasing. Maybe if there were no computer human have more job variety.

Well since we grew up having them and using computers, taking them away would be very uncomfortable to us but hey! I think we can adapt. Because before they were invented, people seems to be able to do their job still. Maybe a bit slower and more of moving about but it get the job done :D Still I am glad people invented gadgets to help us and the internet too. But I do hope we also take care of our environment more and the natural resources. Because after all , this is where we get our raw materials.

Well, having computers help us to save nature.
Yes! E-billing and other related activities reduce the usage of paper.
So trees are getting saved!

Being a student, a world without a computer would be really hard for me in finishing my assignments and homeworks. Besides, computer helps me to make my life easier. :)
