What exactly is the purpose in life?

I've been thinking about this question for quite awhile. People in the world today are often worrying about how much they are earning and is it enough to support their family. Makes me feel as though humans are just money slaves. We're all working everyday in order to earn an income so that we can pay for our monthly expenses and feed our family. But what exactly is the purpose of our life? Without these income, we cannot even feed ourselves, let alone do anything else.
I feel that besides working hard to earn an income, we should do something that we like since we only have one life, why spend your whole life being a money slave? Go on a holiday once a year. It doesn't have to be overseas, it can just be a short getaway from the normal life that you are having, for example, book a hotel room for 3 or 4 days for the family to have a short getaway!

Purpose of the life differs from a person to person. Everybody has an equal choice to enjoy the life as he wants to.God has created us with some purpose in his mind which we do not know. But we should always try to take full advantage of this opportunity. Always keep it in mind that a long life is not a good enough but a good life is long enough. Whenever you share the goodness in your heart, you always end up winning the hearts. Because the life is an echo, it gives back what you have given to others.A nice thought, "Life is better when you are happy but life is more best when because of you others are happy."

Well, my view on this question is that the purpose in life is to experience life in a positive way. By that I mean, that we should enjoy the small things like the smell of the sea, the sunrises, the sunsets, finding your true love, having a family and raising your children. Of course nowadays those things can not be accomplished without money. The system is made like this, that if you don't study and work you can't do nothing. All that I'm saying is that we should enjoy the basic things in our life. That's my take for now on life.

I really want to have a vacation of my own too. Like you say, I feel more or less like a money slave from day to day basis. I had stress from work, and my daily life, and all aspects of life. Somehow, I would love to get away from all these, I would like to be disappeared for while. I want to do everything best in my life, but the reality is, we all need money to survive, and live, to feed ourselves.

Well ,I think you may get quite different anwsers between countries and across cultrals.In my understanding,lif life is a journey,we should enjoy everything in it.Hardship,poverty and sadness may seem to be unwelcome.But that is life.After living through these,we could truly find the true meaning of life.
This is a world of big brother and big money.Actually,money is very important.If we live on earth,we need money.
In my opinion,the process of making money could be happy too.To take me as an example,I work over ten hours a day.But I am happy.My wife loves me.My children are living a happy live.That is enough.
What exactly is the purpose of life?I think it is up to you to define it.
