I don't know about other countries but in mine people always clean before Easter. So today we started cleaning, and we still have a lot to do. I'm just taking a break. Do people do this in other countries ?

at least, it was traditional in my family to clean around easter. i live in the u.s., but my parents are from another country. we are not even christian, but it seems like people usual keep the tradition of doing spring cleaning even if they don't do it exactly on easter.

That is what I have been trying to do, but there is so much at my house because people come in and out all of the time, and I just do the best that I can, and hope that it is enough when it comes to cleaning.

I do spring cleaning right after Easter. It sounds like a great idea to get a head start, so the cleaning is done right away. Personally, I don't enjoy cleaning, so I start when my neighbors get started, as its a lot faster when I have lots of encouraging words from people on my street about how nice my place is looking now.

Hi vertu! In our country we have to clean during this time not because of Easter but because we got a long vacation during so we have plenty of time to do the general cleaning. That's why everyone in the neighborhood are busy cleaning their house. This is one of the longest vacation during a year.

In my country they do big cleaning around spring. It's not tradition or something. It's just because everything looks better and fresher cleaning in springtime. In automn and winter everything looks grey and filty anyway...
