When I was in college, I had the luxury that my parents pay for my college tuition, and I don't have much worry about it. Books, gasoline, food, and other expenses, all there paid from my parents. And I didn't do my best to achieve the best academic I ever had. I felt shame and regretful. Now, I got jobs, not that I expected to work for, or not so glamorous to others' eyes. Anyway, do the best you can, and find whatever that pays. Go through college and be smart.

Well when I was going to college, I was also trying to earn some extra money online, so I guess that counts. That was quite the balancing act, so I can only imagine what the balancing act might be for a real world job, in addition to trying to go to school to say the very least. I do think that as with anything, time management is important.
You will have less than no down time on some weeks. Where you have to creatively manipulate the clock to get the most out of what little time you might have, and not allow it to manipulate you. I think that the real con is that there will be a whole lot of stress. When you combine the stress that being a student sometimes has and the stress of the workplace, it is quite the combination. Many have done it and many have lost their sanity trying to do it.

in my place i got a neighbor who work as a working student so she got a full tuition fee free but have to balance her time. and the good thing about being a scholar so she no longer rely on her poor parents to pay her tuition fee and get to work earlier. she get many benefit and friends aside from having experience to add to her portfolio. the only hindrance s that she have limited courses to select so the most available are art and sciences, education, community courses and not caliber courses like nursing or law. because she need to work and those types of courses need a whole lot of time which she could not do if she is a working student.
most of the time she is tired and only have few hours to get a rest and study. so she need a lot of time to make needs meet or else if she fail and also her dream of finishing her education. a working student lead a different life and her time get more devoted to study and work and only have few time to bond with friends since she is bus most of the time. unlike those non working student they get to depend on there parents alone and does not know yet the meaning of being responsible and self reliance.

I wanted to have a part time job when I was in college. But I didnt pursue it because I thought it would be hard for me to balance my time also for my studies. I couldnt take summer jobs because I had also taken classes on summer. There's one time when I got a job in tutoring as part time. It paid very well for a student like me, I could at least $75 per month. Not bad ey? But it was only a three months then I stopped. Thinking back I wished I should have continued it. Maybe it's because now I can't find a job and I need an income right now. hehehe. It's okay being working student provided your good in time management.

Hi there,i am a working student.i would like to share my experience with you.As a working student, the first thing you have to do is to balance your study and work.I worked in a bar at night.Everyday after class i may dash to the working place and work while my classmates go to their dorm and do nothing. When i come back at mid-night,I am really tired and then i have to finish my assignment because i have to turn them in the next day.The process may be very tired. But i earn some money and i am more flexible in finance . so i live a better life than others. In addition,i gain much more life exprience and this make me feel good.
I hope that my experience could do you a favor.
