swearing

I am curious if you swear. I am trying to teach my son about not swearing. Growing up, my father NEVER swore. He doesn't use curse words. My mother, on the other hand, did. I do occasionally say a curse word, but not every other word. I am curious about others.

I grow up in a very conservative type of family where no swearing or use of uncouth words were allowed. I think if you want your son to change, you definitely need to change first, children learn to do what they find other people doing or they imitate their environment.

My son is 18. I don't swear in front of him and pretty much for things like injuring myself, but you're right if that was the case.

Even if he is already 18 years right now, it all depends on what type of environment that he grew in. He probably heard you, your mother or even friends swore when he was young and grow up thinking that it is ok to do so.
