This is an awesome example of a great maritime movie. The story is based in Cape Breton , Nova Scotia in rural 1970's small community. Two teenage girls, one local who feels suffocated by the town and the other newly arrived from the Bronx.The two are constantly trying to concoct a plan to escape the torture of the small town narrow mindedness.It has great humor and is a perfect reflection of the times and it brings you right back to the 70's and it shows how far as a Social community we have come.
