Have just read it on the internet somewhere about the word, Ubuntu. Found the topic interesting and therefore, sharing it here with you guys. Ubuntu is a philosophy of African tribes that can be summed up in a sentence, "I am what I am because of who we all are." This philosophy speaks about the fact that nobody in the world can live a life of isolation. It speaks about the connection between human. No one can be a human all by yourself and when you have this philosophy, you are known for your generosity.
But most people in the world today thinks for themselves only, or they want to claim credits for themselves in achievements that is done as a group. Humans are a group and we are all connected in some ways or another. Whatever we do as an individual, it affects the whole humanity which in turn affects the whole world. Maybe people should start reading up on this topic so as to remind them to think twice before they act because their every action can affect many others.

But the actions from them will affect others in the world. For example, if they burn trees in the forest, they are contributing to the air pollution. I know it's a lousy example in this case, but it does show that one tiny actions of each individual do affect the rest.

Ubuntu is a word in many Bantu ethnic communities across Africa. The general meaning of the word points towards being humane and recognizing the fact that we all need each other to survive. The Ubuntu philosophy points out the fact that we can not exist in isolation and our need to co-exist to ensure each others survival. Meaning, whatever you do, do it with other people in mind.

Well this is a waste of time in a site so dominated by Americans, with their belief in rampant individualism. Ubuntu would be labelled as radical communism and some idot from the Ozarks is likely to start a campaign to blast these African tribes out of existence. Oh. How silly of me. We whites have already had a go at that, how could I have forgotten.

Well, the reverse is also true doesn't it? They are who they are because of who we are.
