Photos - do you take them all on your phone these days?

I just read a posting from a friend who discovered the batteries in her camera were dead when the kids were posing for Easter pictures! I replied to her that it was sad... and then I thought about the fact that I no longer worry about my camera, I take all my photos on my phone!
Do you take all your photos on your phone or do you still use a separate camera? I usually keep a charger in the car and if I'm going to be gone all day or overnight, I also keep a wall charger so having a dead battery isn't a big concern for the phone.
It's also much much easier to store and share photos from the phone, I can upload them directly to social sites or online albums, send in text messages, or email instantly. So much nicer than having to upload things from the usb and camera after you get home and THEN having to share them.

I just used to take photos with my mobile phone. My mobile phone has a good ability to capture the photos and along with it is supported with zooming facility. Most of the times my mobile phone are well charged at most of the times, especially when i am going out.

My brother has such habit carry the camera also and capture the phone in mobile also. But I have only mobile no camera. All photo is impossible why you are taking all photos. Touring places photos or if you are going for holiday then you can take.

My phone is much more likely to have a fully charged battery these days than my camera, and I'm also more likely to have the phone with me when I'm out and about,so it's sorta the "go to" gadget unless I've plans to bring the regular camera along for some reason..Quality wise,my current phone has better resolution than the first digital camera I owned (Which ate batteries,btw..) so,for snapshots in daylight the phone is fine..flash photography, while possible, would be getting out of it's comfort zone,so that's where the better spec handheld would be preferable.. At the same time, the phone does have the advantage of being able to share pics directly after taking them using it's built in twitter and FB apps..

If I know I am going to be taking photos then I use my camera
I do use my phone quite often when I see something random and my camera is not available
the phone pics are easier to upload but the camera pics are much better quality

My cell phone and my Digital Canon camera is always with me, i prefer to use the camera for taking pictures compared to the cell phone, the reasons are evident, but if camera is not with me, i go for cell phone only..

hi,
since mobile phones today have camera with great pixel so why do we need to buy digital camera since we can use our phone camera, and aside from that we will many gadgets in our hand.mobile phone today can now connect to the computer so i cant find reason why do we need a separate gadgets while we can use them in just one gadget.

No, I still take them with a camera...an APS camera I bought at an incredible bargain back in what I think was 2004. I don't have a working cellphone; I do have one, but I've never really used it more than a few times. I don't really have any use for it, although if I could afford it, I'd like to upgrade to a phone that takes still and moving pictures. But I am in a state of permanent financial struggle at present. I even have to work out whether I'll have enough to get my pictures developed of a month. I have them developed onto CD, then I upload them onto the internet. It works for me; but as I say, I'm intending on upgrading someday. God willing.

I use both. I have a digital camera and a camera phone which is a Sony Ericsson that has been with me for four years now. I do have a digital camera, but I acquired it recently and don't know how to play around the settings yet. When I traveled Batad and Sagada last February, I was a little dismayed that the phone memory was already full and we still had a day of travel to go. I couldn't understand why because the memory capacity of my phone is 2GB and my camera is at 1GB. I still have a lot of pictures stored in my camera but it never tells me that the memory is already full.
Plus, the camera phone that I have takes better pictures than my new smart phone. My digital camera also takes good pictures, but I find the clarity of the pictures taken from my camera phone to be of better quality. I may be name dropping here, but I have found only two brands that suited my needs when it comes to taking good pictures, and that is Sony and Pentax. They may be a bit pricey, but for me it is a good investment because I will use these gadget until they no longer function and are beyond repair.

i still carry our camera around on important occassions - but use my camera-phone at the same time... but previously - before the phone i am carrying now - i depended a lot on the camera because the my phone did not have a good camera function - it was a quite a 'basic' phone - that's why i 'insisted' (..more like demanded ) on the phone i am carrying now for my birthday gift - this 'new' phone IS a Camera-phone, so it is very, very, handy indeed... still, we also prefer to take photos with the 'real' camera - we dont share most of our photos - most of them stays in our own safekeeping - so, it is much better kept in the SD cards..

Hm, no because my phone does not have a good camera. :-) I use my digicam, then if something happens I take out my memory card so the pics are still safe in there. My phone's not capable of uploading too, so I just use the latop, good thing it has a card reader on it. :-)

I do take a lot of photos on my phone these days, but if I know that I am going somewhere very scenic or spectacular, then I will take a dedicated camera to get better photos. But just for those happy snaps that occur in every day life, my phone does a great job with it's 8 megapixel camera. Some of the videos that it takes are pretty good as well.
It's downfall comes when I want to zoom in or take low light photos where a flash is needed. Then I bring out my Digital SLR which performs much better!

For me when I take picture I usually use by Phone or camera but most of the time Camera is what I am using always since you can adjust its pixels and how far would you like to take with and you can adjust the color of it and a digital camera its a great invention to reminisce and you can remember the passion for that certain things, events and special someone when you took that picture Instantly :):):)

Taking photograph using our mobile phones actually is a common thing today. Today we can easily find a mobile phone with built in camera. We can also find a very cheap mobile phone which has camera as well, but of course don't expecting too much from such camera because it usually only has a low pixellete. So from my story above, i can say if we can take as many as photograph using our mobile phone as long as we don't argue with the result. But in case of we want to have a high quality picture, we should take it using an appropriate camera. Have a nice day and happy mylotting.

I take photos by phone only i don't bring my camera. My phone camera can't take good photos, photos size is small too.
Ya, it is convenient for you to take photos anywhere because we often forget to bring camera, but always bring phone. However, I still prefer camera, after that watching photos with good quality is always better.
