Facebook is dangerous site!

Facebook and other social networking sites are really very dangerous. Any one can start a new account i the name of different ones. May some persons start different accounts in the name of names of others to blame others. These people have different intentions and their intentions are unknown to us. So we people must be very careful. We must think twice before doing anything in Facebook

Yes, I agree with you. Facebook is very dangerous. It is very dangerous if some one use your photo or your information to do badly thing. Now, I don't like facebook more.

Facebook is dangerous social networking now, because it's prone from being a victim of thief identity and use our name from criminal activities... This is what facebook now...not like before that facebook is only a kind of social networking site. Now, facebook is using for bad and good activities...

I heard some criminals can extract your information, and make phone calls to your friends and family ask for money if they knew you weren't home. They make those phony calls to pretend to be your friends, and say that you are in emergency situation, and desperately need your family send that money at the moment. So, don't post everything on facebook, criminals can impersonate you, or they can use these information to scam others closed to you.

Anything private information posted on the internet is not really safe 100%. I don't post my private information such as my house address, my phone number,etc. You don't need worry too much or give up Facebook in your life. Facebook is the good way you can keep in touch with your friends, your family if you live far away with them...So that we can do protect our information on net as well as enjoy with it, why not?

That's why you don't simply accept any random friend request. Who knows that person you've just accepted turns out to be a stalker, criminal or con man/woman. You can't just trust anyone these days.

well yeah, it gives a lot of people a chance to stalk you and you are freely giving them the information with no effort on their site at all! imagine that... :P Well even if the facebook is just a "social networking" site, i would think though that it is more than that, it is a place where someone gets bullied, it is a place where someone gets to feel low or depressed, it is a lonely place pretending to be a fun place to be because apparently all people in there are just trying to outdo each other with pictures of what they were doing, and of pictures of where they have been to.

Even though I have my thoughts about Facebook being used in negative ways and I see the potential for it to be dangerous, I feel safe using it because I do not put any personal info out there and I don't even share personal thoughts. All my contacts are professional and they are connected to professionals. I have had my account hacked before but I was notified immediately by Facebook, changed my password and I'm good to go. I do advise people to be very careful about what they share and who they become friends with because not everyone can be trusted.

Facebook is useful site. But I do not know what others are also able from and out of our postings. I had an interesting experience. I am an admin of a facebook group site which is have nearly 1000+ hits every day. I had a list of names with common friends. I sent my request to male members. I got a notification from facebook stating "you are making requests to unknown people"--"you are not eligible to apply for friendship for 14 days". For me it is not a loss or gain. A few facebook members are that rude.

That is why I don't share certain information online or in person with anyone. No matter where you go online you are never really safe and no matter who you tell things to it might or might not be safe even with stuff that you give out to your work or doctors. Its a risk that you just have to take if you need to give certain information out to anyone.

I don't use my real name on there and don't have my page visible to alot of people who can search for me, but it is still a place where it can be a big problem anyways with others finding you. I know it's risky and others do as well, but they remain there anyways. There's no way to tell everyone and make them quit. I know some of my aquaintances and such in the past won't use it at all and never have.

Yes all these sites like Facebook are dangerous. And an invasion of privacy. (if you let it be) It is important to educate yourself, and know inside and out everything you use. If you don't know how to protect yourself and your privacy on Facebook. You should not use it. Think before you post. I just seen someone put their phone number on another friend of mine's page today. lol Not too smart. And be aware about the apps you download, and what control you give them as well! I mean you in general terms by the way. Everyone who uses it. Be safe people! Don't think you're ever truly anonymous on the internet either. With great technology comes great responsibility! If you ask me Facebook is the most dangerous site. I think that one of the main ideas for creating Facebook was personal information about almost everyone in the planet. That's exactly why you can't delete you Facebook account, you can just deactivate it, but the personal information and your profile is still in the archives on Facebook. Facebook is a government's weapon if you ask me. The best thing to do is life your life in the real world, not in the virtual and insecure world. The whole internet could be very dangerous place so be careful.

That is why you must not post something confidential in it.. especially details about yourself..
