How do you drive traffic to your online articles? Do you have any success in it?

I recently started writing articles online and just publish my second article. I earn a few cents a day. The only ways I get traffic is from responding to other people's articles or being active in forums.
Do you write articles online? What are the methods you use and how much traffic can you drive?

Usually, that site will use a link and that didn't allowed in here.
But you could go to someone's profile page and you will see some site that can give you reader.
