I have these piece of small note book to keep and write down the most important things in my daily life. Nothing usual but I always want to keep tract on dates when it happened. I do have a small notes too for my big expenses like paying my credit cards and even the dates when I gave my mom her allowance. But I thought it is okay to write it down on a notebook or it is more fine to put it on the notes on the laptop like a diary? It is makes me wonder if it is more okay since I have my Galaxy Tab now maybe I can used it to be like my diary. What do you think friends?

I use reminders and more often write down important dates just to make sure that when the time comes for me to be present at a certain function, I am not absent or missing. Though people say it’s a symptom of memory loss, I find it orderly to write dates.

I also think it is good to write the remainders of the important dates in the life. The remainders will help to remember the important dates and events.

Hi lynboobsy11. :) I love this topic! Like you, I also write down dates and important events. I always have notebooks to write down important events of my life. I usually have a planner with me all the time. I started owning a planner when I was in college. It was a University Planner. I wrote everyday happenings then from exams, to parties to meetings. And it's good to look back after a year of writing down your everyday life. Even now I own a planner where I write down my life events. Thanks to Starbucks I'm enjoying my daily happenings as I write them down neatly on this years planner. Regarding your notes on your Tab, I think it is very handy to write your daily happenings on your Tab. The catch is, if your Tab crash you'll lose all your data (unless you have a back-up for the Tab). Still the best way to record your daily life experiences is on a pen and paper basis. Happy writing!

I believe those kind of gadgets have like a task application or a memo application that remind you of certain things like that..or events. i do have one of it on my phone but then i do not use it lol i do not even write it down.. i just kinda remember it so i do not need for some reminders..but then again this is a good idea as i believe my brain right now isn't functioning well.. too much headache.

I have a calender that I keep in bag. I write down everyhing that I have to remember like work, meetings with friends, doctor appointments, birthdays etc. I don't have a very good memory, so I usually write everything down and I check my calender every day. I also have to handwritten diary in a notebook. Today I write a lot things on my laptop instead of writing it by hand, but I still have some handwritten notebooks, and one of those handwritten notebooks is my diary. I don't write every day, but if something important happens I write it down in my diary.

I do and I make sure the reminder in my ipod is On 12 one day before the date so when the even (whatever it is) is about to come I have enough time to prepare. I think your Galaxy tab does come in handy for you can write anything you want at anytime including browsing on mylot

i have a calendar which is on my fridge that i write down my doctor appointments. i also put a note on my phone's calendar to make sure i dont forget. you see, here in Canada, it often takes several months to be able to see a specialist so the appointment is made months in advance.

you can be an anthropologist who records his/her observations and important discoveries. it is always great to write down important dates and information so that we can always get back and reminisce the moments. the accounts of the past will also enable us to plan for the future. we will see the direction and patterns in our lives. and we may change direction and break patterns to pursue our goals.

Haha I try to keep everything up to date with myself. I actually have a mental note of everything, but soon I have to start paying off my debt. I am in a bind money wise, but keep important dates on things that you have to get done is a good idea. I have all my dates and I know what I have to pay and that is what keeps me going as well as stressed. I don't know why, but I still have my dates written on what I paid and what I need to pay. I even have some on when I have to work online lol.

I have my vintage notebook. I call it that way, it serves as my diary. I try to keep things anything that had happened to me written because it fascinates me to read track them all back again. Wow, since you have now a Galaxy tab, I guess that's one is cool! I am planning to do one but because I lack the material I just use cool covered notebooks. The benefit of using a GT is that you can easily do it, less hassle and effort, you just have to input but I can say that it still have a disadvantage. I can see that when you put it on a tab, there is a greater possibility that it will not long. Somehow, gadgets has its limited lifeline. So somehow notebooks are cooler still.

hello lyn, I have written and shared most important events of my life here in mylot. I remember one friend who made a documentary video regarding mylot and his friends- he wrote there one of my consistent reply each time a mylotter ask "what does mylot means to you". and my response goes like this "MyLot is my online diary and my shock-absorber" I also wrote a blog/article every important event of my life, as a compilation and saved in a folder. I am planning to have print-outs too :)

I use my phone for important dates so I don't write in a notebook or anything. I think it's important to keep a tab on important dates and things you have to do in those days. I think it's a great idea to use you Galaxy Tab, I'm sure the trees will appreciate it. With this new age gadgets it's easy to keep important, useful info without using mountains of paper. Personally I don't really like sticky notes but I've seen that they work for a lot of people.

It's good to track down important events in ones own life. I appreciate and admire you for that. What if there are a lot of important events but most of them are not worth writing because it cause pain in the heart? What if the events will cause the tears to fall and the memories are unpleasant? It may be still worth writing, but when it's done alone, it may not be that important. All the events, the most important ones are written in the table on my heart, and bound upon the chains of my neck. They will be forever in my memory as long as I live.

I do not usually writes the important dates and events of my life. I think it is a good idea to write the important dates and events in life and also to write them in a dairy or computer. Now a days computers help to type them to remember. I will try to store them in the computer or a dairy so that I do not forget them in the future

I keep a small planner with important dates and other things I need to keep up with in it. I would be lost without it most of the time. I also have a journal that I write in regularly. And I usually make mention of things I need to remember in it as well, so if I lose my planner, I will have some sort of record to fall back on...

Hmmmm... you can put it both, but as for me, they have ‘pros’ and ‘cons’. If you are going to use your own notebook to write all the important things in your life than writing your notes on the laptop, your notebook might sees by someone else. You might misplace your notebook and you cannot find it, but of course, it is also worth if you write it on your notebook, because it is easy to carry and you can rewrite it if you want, unlike on laptop. Writing notes on the laptop is also worth because you can save it on your own and no one can access your laptop but you. The only problem is when the laptop is broken, well, I do not know if there is still hope to revive all you written notes on the laptop and laptop is not so easy to carry. Ha ha… As for me, I am so lazy to write all the important notes on my notebook, and so I tend to write it on my notepad because I am already using my laptop every day. To be easy, I tend to write it notes on my laptop.

I also do write important dates and events of my life. I actually started writing journals during high school days and turned into a diary where I really writes everything happens in a day. Though now , I still keep a journal and write something important that happens to me however no longer a day to day basis but just the most important events of my life. I believe it is something good to do, and it is really nice reading all over again the old journals and old diaries, and it is nice remembering old days, old dates.
