Normal sleep pattern of 6-8 hours per day is good already. Taking naps also helps, as long as it does not disturb your sleep pattern. In gaining weight, it depend on what tissue you want to increase, either muscle tissue or fat tissue. For average person, it is best to gain both tissue in equal amount. For bodybuilder, one would want to increase the muscle tissue more than fat tissue. I'm guessing you have low BMI, so why don't you eat more proteins and carbs? Add regular exercises. One fact that most people don't know is that muscle tissue weight more than fat tissue. Someone below suggest fast foods to quickly gain weight. It's true, but very unhealthy. Unless you have a dying wish, i vote against it.

Do you really love to gain weight? There are some people have problems on how to loss weight but you, a different one. Just seems funny. I think you don't need to gain weight. Just eat proper foods and healthy one. Sleep 8 hours a day and during evening or sleep time. And there will be no problem at all.

From what I've heard we should sleep 8 hours a night to be healthy. That being said if you want to gain weight you probably need to sleep more than that. Also if you take a nap at noon after you ate, or if you eat late at night you can gain weight. Fast food a a good way to gain weight quickly, a lot of sweets, pizza, pasta, bread. A lot of fried meat. Salt retains water in your body and you gain some weight. Hope it helps
