How early is to early to mow the lawn?

My neighbors and I live nice and close. I like to get up and mow the lawn before the sun gets up and makes things very hot. I try to mow after 8:00 am but I was wondering what everyone else thought was a good time. Is 8:00 to early to make that kind of noise?

It could be for some people. Why not ask your neighbors if they mind? Also, it might be fine for a weekday, but not so good on Saturday or Sunday mornings when people tend to want to sleep in. I wouldn't be happy if I wanted to sleep in and my neighbor was mowing the lawn.

I dont do yard work on weekends unless I have to. I try to get it all in during the week so I can enjoy the break when my hubby is home. I like to sleep in on weekends if the kids let me. Most of my neighbors have school age kids so I go off the time the school starts.

i usually wait until i hear my neighbors moving out and about. it's easy for me with my neighbors, because they are up and blaring there music already before i even decide to start. lol.

Lol- that would drive me nuts. I hate having to listen to other peoples music. Like when your driving around the street and you have to listen to the person next to you.

I think it depends on where you live and what sort of neighbours you have etc.
During the week we only ever have time to mow the grass in the afternoons and evenings. We would never mow the grass after 6.30pm, not only because of the noise the mower makes but because of the time it takes to clear the mess up etc.
Weekends we only mow the grass after 10am as people around may still be in bed and won't want to hear all that noise, I know that we wouldn't want that noise before 10am

If I had to mow the lawn I would do it early. If you wait it gets so hot and then it seems like your day is gone. We live in a town house and they take care of this for us, they are out their at all different times. Early in the morning, late at night and dinner time. I would think if you want to be considerate 8:00 is a fine time.

Our local school starts about then so I figure the busses are around and they have to get the kids up anyway so Im generaly safe. I do feel bad for my retired neighbors that could sleep in but they are mowing as early as me often so I wont feel to bad.

I am like you. If it is going to be a hot day I like to be up around 7:00am to cut the grass. There are times when my neighbors are noisy etc... but I do not care. I hears others cut there grass by 6:00am. I also work two jobs so when I can get it done I do it. I will not cut grass after 9:00pm at night. Way to late many people do sleep early in my neighborhood. Good Luck
