Different from people's opinion above, I suggest you to go for Liberty Reserve instead. As a happy user of Liberty Reserve, and as the fellow Indonesian people, I suggest Liberty Reserve, mostly because it should be easier for you to turn the cash into Rupiah. You can sell your LR balance easily to exchangers like MedanGold, Duyduychanger, TukarDuid, or such (look at their currency conversion rate, it's even better than Paypal's!).

Really better that Paypal? I have not really looked into using other payment options other than Paypal. I linked my credit card to my Paypal account and their charging me every month for it about $3.50. Which is quite expensive, but since I use their services then I should not complain. Besides, it's more convenient having to use.

I have no idea about your country, but here in my country, LR surely benefits me most. At Paypal, there are around $2 withdrawal fees + 2.5% - 3.5% currency conversion fees. So, in average, for $1, I got around Rp8700 - Rp8900 (minus Rp16.000 (around $2) withdrawal fees). Meanwhile, if I sell my LR balance to exchangers, there are no such fees, and in average, for $1, I got around Rp8900 - Rp 9200..

I have both Alertpay and Liberty Reserve accounts but I do find Alertpay more user-friendly and secure compared to Liberty Reserve which have had the reputation of being compromised in the past. Well, I guess in the end, it's just a matter of preference for others.

I would prefer AlertPay since I trust this one better that Liberty Reserve and AlertPay seems to be more user - friendly.
