It was okay- not the greatest movie ever- it had its moments, only a few though. The kids were scary- i could never imagine them so ruthless and not even thinking twice about killing. It's actually a good movie/view about the future... I look forward to the next movie, I hope they make the trilogy.

I saw this movie too- a week ago or maybe two. I wasn't very impressed by it. It was just too long for me, I expected an action movie, but it was more of a puppy love and kids killing each other but not so well.

I have seen several trailers from this movie. From what I have seen it reminds me of the games that were put on in Roman leaders put on to help control the masses back during the Roman republic and the Roman Empire.. The bloody Gladiator we armed combatant who entertained the masses with violence between them selves wild animals and criminals. This is a movie that holds o attraction for me. would rather see something like the War Horse and the Iron Lady. or better yet The Help"

I bet they will make the trilogy. I would wonder if it is as good as the books. I will hope that it comes out on DVD soon and that it isn't a complete dissapointment. It will be interesting to see it.

I agree with you! Even though we didn't able to finish the movie, I really guess that it was not the greatest movie but I also admit that I love how the story goes. Besides, the movie also makes me sad on every part that a kid is being killed without any conscious felt on the part of the killer.

To me, it was not very good. I enjoyed the books, and expected a lot from this movie. In my opinion. it only focused on the actual Hunger Games. It did not focus on the underlying story at all, which reveals itself in the second book. It will be hard to make the next two movies correctly.

The book was far better than the movie and if you will take the time to read it you will see that they must be so ruthless, the entire district they are fighting for depends on their killing all others in the arena. The detail they left out was amazing, I agree too much emphasis was placed upon the games rather than the story. It could have been much better had they saved most of the fighting for the next movie. I also wasn't very pleased with the character choices, made me wonder if the casting director had bothered to read the book first.

Hi lady!
I've just recently watched this film. My mother loved it a lot. It was okay for me. There wasn't anything new with the story and the plot. But what I loved is the costume and make-up particularly of the people in the capitol. They looked like the characters in Alice in Wonderland movie. I remembered the Red Queen, her lips was the same with the lips of Katniss and Peta's female manager. I also love their costume during their introduction in the parade. Black leather with red fire! That was awesome!
I'm good with this movie, though. I mean, if there will be no sequel, it's okay for me. If there will be a sequel, then it's still okay for me.

I haven't seen The Hunger Games but by seeing the trailer it doesn't seem that good of a film worth watching it in theatres.
I will be watching it when The Hunger Games gets released in DVD ...
