I left my debit card at the restaurant!

Last night I went to Chili's with my boyfriend because I had a gift card to use. I ended up putting the rest of the bill on my debit/credit. Normally I'm very good about taking my card and putting it back in my purse once I'm done. But for some reason, last night I was totally unlike myself and I ended up forgetting my card.
We left the restaurant and when we got back to my boyfriend's house I had this weird feeling about my card. So I went through my purse looking for it and I couldn't find it anywhere. My boyfriend called the restaurant and they ended up having my card so we had to go back and get it.
I ended up being lucky that time. Our server was someone we have all the time who knows what we usually order and he picked up the card and brought it to the back until I came back to get it. It was actually a little embarrassing because I normally remember to bring my card.

I think it was the other day when I responded to a discussion about what am I OCD about. I should have put this in.
I think it's a combination of being tight with money and the fear of identity theft. I always watch my debit/credit cards like a hawk when it leaves my hand or wallet when I go to pay something. And I would be uneasy until I get it back in my wallet.

I'm usually pretty good about remembering it too but I guess i was just too rushed while leaving the restaurant that I thought I had already put it in

Good thing they are honest. I love Chili’s. I like their hot wing entre that you can share until your dinner comes. Or you can eat it as a meal yourself. I’m glad that your server was someone who knows you and put it up for you.

Yes, this incident is just one more reason why I love Chili's and they're my favorite restaurant. I usually eat the boneless buffalo wings as my meal, I actually got it yesterday.
I'm just really thankful that we had our usual server and he kept my card safe

I am fairly notorious for leaving my debit card places. I don't know why but there are times when I just forget it whereever I am. It got to the point where my boyfriend asks me if I have my card before we leave anyplace when I pay for things.

you are lucky, an honest man picked up your card.
I never forget my debit/credit card. i only lost it to a theft incident.
I was totally furious with the thief. it was really a tough day, with the help of the police, i got my bag back, my wallet but not the ID's which were much more important to me. i was still lucky coz i placed my mobile phone in my pockets, hence, they were not able to get it.
i really wish they will lose their eyesight, people like them wont stop stealing unless they lose something really valuable in doing the act.
oh, some may think im really mean, but with crime rates so high, i wouldnt mind, some people just never learn.
going back, since then, i did not want to have my credit card re-issued, only the debit card which is really useful to me.

I really was lucky.That stinks thought that someone took your purse as well as your id and all the really important stuff. I don't understand why people do it and it's just cruel

I do forget I credit card at the supermarkets and only remember a few hour or even a day after the incidence. The supermarket crew are a friendly lot and they only ask for my identification card, which on offer, I get my credit card back. Forgetting is human but it is annoying when things get lost.
