I saw a news story about these two young boys on a school bus who helped the bus driver who collapsed. Did you hear about this story? It brought tears to my eyes, I was so moved that these two boys who were courageous and saved the bus load of kids. What happened was, the bus driver collapsed and a boy went up to him and turned off the ignition, the key and turned the wheel ,so the bus slowed to a stop on the side of the road. Then another boy tried to give the driver CPR. Other kids were on the cell phones calling for help. When help came the driver went to hospital, and all the kids were safe. I was just amazed, these kids deserve a medal for being heroes, I think. Your thoughts, my lot, friends!!

I like hearing stories about amazing kids. There certainly are some amazing stories out there sometimes. Sounds like those kids you are talking about are some truly amazing children. They do deserve recognition for their actions.

Those are just many of the unsung heroes this world can offer. It was a very courageous move by the two kids that demonstrated a sense of responsibility thanks to their parents. They portrayed a characteristic that not every one of us has, taking the life of others into your own hands and trying to save everyone.

That's really inspiring! Those kids deserve recognition! The school should give them some medals or something. There's only a few of those kids these days.

I saw this news too. Those kids are quite alert and intelligent enough to do that act initially. They are brave to do that. They should be recognized for doing such heroic act like that. They should be teach more about the proper ways and things to do if ever those kind of emergency happen again. Kudos to them.

That's excellent! Glad there were young people with the presense of mind to do such a thing. Can you imagine if they hadn't done it? The hero part is the CPR and calling on the cell phones which if more than one did that, they would jam up our 911 so no one else could get through so it's best to have only one or two try to call. The stopping the bus and getting it off the road, could be argued that he was saving his and everyone else's neck. If he hadn't done it, the bus would have killed other people and if they ran into a tractor trailer or something bigger than the bus like a house, that could have gotten them killed. Or if they ran off a revene. But most likely, he stopped others in their path from being killed, so in that respect, he's a hero. As far as getting an award, some people like that kind of thing and some people don't.

I saw this on the news yesterday. It was really great that they acted right away. They not only saved themselves, and the bus driver, but also the other kids in the bus. One kid even tried to do CPR. Yes, they should be recognized as hereos.

I just read it in the news and I'm really amazed. How those kids had such a presence, and despite being so young they knew what to do at that moment! I'm so glad that kids like them exist. Their parents must be very proud of them, and not only their parents.
