I've heard many great things about Microsoft's IE9 and was wondering if anyone here has downloaded this version
Unfortunately it is not compatible in Windows XP and can only be downloaded to Windows7 or Windows Vista.
Words like "stunning""innovative"and "remarkable" have been used to describe this version, so,i'm interested to learn if you think IE9 is as good as the claims made about it.

Those are beautiful adjectives. I wonder how true they are? I'm going to read all the comments here and see what others think.

@jujunme I think some people are reading the old posts but just don't comment on them.
Yes, it is not the ideal as it still has some problems. However, right now it is the best that I have found.

@jujunme Yes, you can take an old discussion, delete i,t and put it up to date or change it somewhat. This way you can see what new members have to say on the topic.

@1hopefulman Getting off topic for a minute.
Are we allowed to re-post previous discussions? since i would like to see the responses some of, not only mine, but old posts that other members have posted as well
to tell you the truth,i don't think we are but, it's worth asking about..

I don't think I'll try it before reading about it well. I haven't tried an IE for the last 5-6 years. Even though it is said that it is good, as always happens a little before and after the release of IE, it always ends up buggy and with security wholes so only time will tell if this time it really works.

Actually i was surprised to hear all the negative comments made about IE9 since the marketing of the product sounded so promising. but, as you mentioned software distributors tend to praise a product before and after the product is released and then, when we use the product it presents all kinds of problems.
Since my operating system is Windows XP,which is not compatible with IE9 i won't be able to test it out anyway.
