Mobile phone emits radiations and it is very bad for our health. These radiations really decreases the life of a person and along with it it causes a reason fro new born diseases. So every one should keep the cell phone away from the place where you sleep.

We always sleep with our phones on the bed. Usually under the pillow as this helps us wake up due to the alarm. =) i think its safe and i have been doing it for the last couple of years, ever since i had a cellular phone and i think i haven't changed or seen any related symptoms...

Health problems like what? On what evidence is your statement founded upon? There is a hypothetical risk that the radiation given off by mobile phones can have an affect on the brain. However, after all these years of research there has been no evidence found to suggest that this is actually occurring, or having an effect on any aspect of human health. It is the same with mobile phones in hospitals, where you often see signs to turn your mobiles off because the radiation 'may interfere with the equipment'. Again, these claims are not yet backed up by strong scientific evidence, hence the 'may', and so many top hospitals allow phone usage on their wards and in their clinics. A lot of the time, you're told to refrain from using mobile phones purely based on maintaining their culture of privacy. Indeed, this is believed to be a risk but is not yet a scientifically proven or recognised risk, and so until then I remain wary of such claims. Of course it is good to be careful, but all the same, if there was any strong indicator of harm we would more than likely know about it - unless one is a conspiracy theorist and believes that information is probably being held from us, which I doubt.

It's not even that. Do you know anyone who slept with their home phone near their pillow? I personally turn off my phone before I go to bed, unless I forget. I wouldn't want anyone calling me after I go to bed and if their's an emergenchy, they can call my home phone.

I keep it near to me, but not too near. I learned that there's a harmful effect of cellular phone's Electro Magnetic Frequency (EMF) on our body, especially our brains, it can even cause cancer, a claim that is not yet validated. But it is better be sure, don't keep it near you. Maybe some feet away.
