I've decided to try my hand at stuffed bell peppers for dinner tonight. I've found a few different recipes and I'm still looking for some others. Does anyone have any good recipe websites that they go to or any stuffed bell pepper recipes? Both of the recipes I have found include beef, rice, tomato sauce, garlic, pepper, salt, and onion. What else do you think would be good with this?

That sounds pretty good. You'll have to let us know how it turned out and where you got the recipe from.

I ended up using a recipe from Betty Crocker and they turned out pretty good! My boyfriend ate 2 by himself and took another to work with him for lunch today :) I think I need to use a little more seasoning next time. Maybe add some spice to it? I think maybe a bit more onion and garlic would do the trick. My boyfriend just added some extra pepper after they were cooked and he said that worked for him. All in all I think it was a success and I plan on making them again sometime in the future!

I like Food Network's website. There you can find several recipes for almost everything.

I've never made it myself, but here is a link to Food Network's site and it is a recipe by Emeril Lagasse. All the recipes I've tried from Emeril always turned out good. Good luck and let us know what you finally used! http://www.foodnetwork.com/recipes/emeril-lagasse/mr-johns-meat-stuffed-bell-peppers-recipe/index.html Have a great day and happy myLotting!!!

Those are my ingredients too. I make a very light tomato sauce, with just tomatos (you can use canned ones, fried diced onion, a bay leaf. To suff them, I have cooked rice (usually I make rice for 2 diferent dishes so it´s a leftover)and fry more diced onion with ground meat, salt and pepper and a clove of garlic. I stuff the peppers and usually cook them in the pressure cooker as it´s a lot quicker. It can also be done in a normal pot with low heat.

Thats about the right ingredients for stuffed peppers. I imagine you could add Cheese and make it kind of cheesey and bubbly after baked and before you pull it out. have you ever made cabbage rolls? I really like those better than stuffed peppers. While I like pepper cut up in food I am not a big lover of all my food tasting like the pepper. My mom made me eat stuffed peppers I don't do them no more LOL But I do make the cabbage rolls. Let us know how yours turn out!

I am not a fun of bell peppers recipes and I think I have just eaten a few of what you have given your examples. They are other spices I like best but that does not mean I do not eat bell peppers. The idea is I only eat them since they are good dieters and I have a doctor recommending them all the time.
